When you start up the game for the first time, do you have to wait and play an exhibition game while the game "finishes installing" and takes another few hours or so?

Nope, the game was installed after the download. At least on PS4 you can play right away.

I just loaded the game and it wants me to create my MyPlayer again. I played the Prelude, do I just bypass this or what's the deal with that?

I don't want to create myself again and have it overwrite.

Did you hit the Triangle button to "Manage Files" so you can select the Prelude continuation?
