What is the minimum number of teams allowed in a custom league?

Hello, I just got this year's game for xbox one (just got the xbox one for that matter) and was wondering what the minimum number of teams for a custom league was. I know you can have up to 36 teams, but I was thinking of creating some custom all-time college teams and wanted to have maybe only 16 teams or so. Is this possible? Or is it possible to create a custom tournament/playoff with just the teams I want in it? Thanks!

I think it's 36... I might be wrong.

Well, 36 is definitely the maximum amount of teams, but I was wondering if there was a minimum number required.

I don't think you can take teams out.
