Why is nobody talking about biggest problem this game have?

-netcode/ lag compensation absolut frustration these two

i have xbox x, comcast 50 dl/5 ul (xbox network detailed settings said 75/6), 4k samsung tv with 20ms (19ms if i rename hdmi to pc), xbox says 30ms latency, wired connection no wifi, i am not using anything any other devices for internet i am not downloading anything or uploading

i experience in this in a lot of UT games (there s no connection quality indicator in UT):

either other guy got better internet with like 100dl etc. and he got extra frames for reaction from standup to groundgame, subs etc. i mean that s ok we re living in capitalism- nothing wrong with that

but the other thing

game is choppy, other guy says "i got no lag" while he can queue combos as much as he likes, while my fighter is delayed let s say from like 250ms to 1000ms that s just my rough guess, he can escape subs even when he got no stamina, no GA, nothing no perks, with like 60-70 sub def, because game just wont register my gate defense, it lags more on ground than in standup

i mean just whole game cease to exist at that point and what s the point of playing it when u beat guy 3 times and in 4th game suddenly u got choppiness and u cannot react to anything while it seems for him it s no problem

for me it s very simple
if i know right now that this guy will transition to right and i deny as soon i see his fighter start moving and game wont register that, that s pure horse manure

if i kow right now that this guy will try to escape sub going up and left and i defend there and game wont register that that s same

the things u added with UFC3 like vulnerability, clinch changes, combo queue, combos etc just further make this problem even worse, because everything is so about proper timing, but u cant time anything when any lag become present

this needs to be addressed before u even think about making ufc4

this is ridiculous that only place i can have game work as intended is single player

I wish you could write a tad bit clearer grammatically, at a first glance if nobody can decipher your complaints, they'll perceive it to be rubbish.

But, after some extrensive reading- I agree.

P2P Connectivity is a problem, and we already know all to well about people who DDOS, track your IP, etc etc just to get wins via DNF in this game which is terrible. Imagine grinding games in ranked, getting 2 points for every win, only to get DDOSed and lose 30. It'll turn you off for sure.

What UFC needs are dedicated servers- however I don't believe that they have the resources to do so, that or it would take too long. I would like to know what are the chances for having dedicated servers for UFC 4.

Hey so what’s the deal with dedicated servers? I mean, if your opponent has some ****ty internet provider, everyone in their house is using up bandwidth, and they’re playing over wifi, isn’t it going to be laggy anyways? Or would dedicated servers ensure every match is lag-free regardless of ISP?

If you know, that would be great. I’ve always wondered this. Cause I always thought that in 2 player games, the connection is only as good as the worst connection between the two.

I have no clue about the technical details but my understanding is that dedicated servers do not work as well for fighting games as they do for shooters and other genres with more players in a game.

Regarding OP's complaint, I usually get good enough latency if my opponent has green bar but I'm still baffled by why I can't filter my opponents based on their latency bar.

Also, not to roast too hard but I'm quite shocked to know OP is American (based on him using Comcast).

Do not worry about it man.

The people that criticized your grammar (i.e. Romero) probably don't speak (or write) a second language and definitely did not need to call that out. This game does not always attract the best of us.

I agree 100% with your post and I have stopped playing because of it. In UFC 2, I spent a ton of money on UT...UFC 3? Not a dime.

Why?

Because I am not going to commit more dollars to a game that is this unresponsive (with respect to controls) and unbalanced (pressure fighting). I made top 30 several times in row and it is just not fun fighting the same fight over and again.

So sick of the delayed input... BTW I can't believe how these devs had the audacity to deny that this existed and even asked us to post a DANG VIDEO OF THE INPUT LAG TO PROVE IT.

The next game needs to have responsive controls. Also, using dropped inputs to create uniqueness among fighters is not the answer (i.e. fighter "A" can jab-jab- leg kick... but there is no response on the leg kick for fighter B... this is a stupid idea).

I genuinely wish another company would make a Bellator or One FC game. Force EA step its game up.

Think about it. NFL 2k was always better than Madden. NBA 2k is the standard basketball game (compared to NBA Live). Pro Ev Soccer is better than FIFA.

WE KNOW THAT WE ARE PLAYING THE NBA LIVE OF MMA GAMES.

It's less about the grammar and spelling and more about the general structure of the post. It's also not a negative thing to point it out. It's just feedback.

The OP might not have been aware that his writing was a barrier for people. Now he does. Whether he does something with it is up to him.

First of all.

English isn't my first language.

I speak three (Spanish, English, and French) with Spanish being my first language , English my second when I came to America, and French being what I've been practicing as of 3 years ago.

I didn't say it with bad intentions, as the other person stated, being that he said Comcast and his name being OSHighwayman I just assumed he was another American with bad grammar. Like Daisuk said, it's more about the structure of the post, and with time people can learn. He brings up good points, but due to the structure of how things are written, it can be looked at and dismissed within 5 seconds of reading it.

Anywho:

Dropped inputs aren't a thing, you get what you input.

However, delayed inputs are, and that usually is due to connectivity issues and/or frames, or the misfortune of running across a lag switcher/somebody manipulating their connection so they can throw combinations easily while you're stuck. (I.e Ty1012326 in Season 1-3, or Mini-Man-Lafferty now)

I have a video where I ask the viewers was fight #3 lag switching- and you'll notice it in Round 2, and I bet you'd agree with me there too as well.

https://youtu.be/bU1a_XcOrHM

Things like that have to be resolved.

I'm all for fighter Uniqueness as well, I've stated this multiple times: Khabib Nurmagomedov is not throwing a Switch Kick with the same technique as Edson Barboza, and Daniel Cormier is not kicking like Mirko Cro Cop. Martial Posted something about different animations for different levels, and what I'd like to add to that is different animations for different styles of fighters (i.e., Muay Thai Styled Leg kicks vs a Taekwondo's styled leg kick)
