Will next Gen 2k (Ps5 and XBOX New) Be a bare boned 2K like 2k14 was?

I truly hope they learned from 2K14. I loved it for graphics but yes it was a bit odd to maneuver the menu screens(roster wise). I can't wait.

I don't think I would consider XB1/PS4 2k14 bare-boned. That game had much more content than the XB360/PS3 version. There were more gameplay mechanics implemented as well.

We must be talking about two different games. NBA 2K14 had some gameplay improvements by default, but it was definitely barebones and simplistic. NBA 2K6 was the same way when they moved from the XBOX/PS2 to the XB360/PS3 generation. I would imagine that NBA 2K21 will be no different.

XB1's 2k14's mycareer had an actual story. XB360 in comparison had none.

XB1's 2k14 had the park. XB360 had none.

XB1's 2k14 MyTeam had entirely different content. 2k14 had the same basic cards from 2k13.

XB1's 2k14 had MyGM, an entirely new franchise experience.

How is that bare-boned?

Yep, I actually bought 2K14 on xbox360.... then a month later I bought it again, on xb1. I had to after seeing the park.
I literally saw the park and I went out and bought an xb1 and got on xbox live for the first time, just because I saw the park.

It's going to be a bit tricky this time around.

PS5/Xbox Series X can both play their last gen versions thru BC. The difference will probably more about ray tracing effects for next gen versions while gameplay wise it would be still the same with nba 2k21 ps4/xbox one versions especially both had mid gen upgrades like PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. All i'm saying is it won't probably be like the transition from ps3 to ps4, xbox 360 to xbox one.
