Free agency logic

Rightfully so there has been a lot of talk about draft logic. No need to rehash that in this thread.

I simmed through several seasons just to mess around and see what happens. See what generated players look like etc. It seems to me there are some major flaws in free agency logic as well. The biggest one I saw was the Browns letting Baker Mayfield walk in free agency after just winning the Super Bowl. C’mon man!!

Let him walk as in didn’t resign him? What’s wrong with that? How much did he want? Did they have cap space? Lots of factors here. Not saying FA logic is good but horrible example. Got any more?

Can’t remember any other specific examples off top of my head. Don’t know all the specifics. But when’s the last time a team let a defending super bowl champ qb leave in FA? And no, Foles doesn’t count [emoji23].

I'm guessing Trent Dilfer would be the last time. But yeah not a great example...

Whats strange about that im in my 3rd season and baker is no longer a brown signed with Cincinnati as Joe backup lol he only signed a 1 yr $870K deal

I guess this kinda proves my argument? Say what you want about contract demands and cap space, a team isn’t letting a super bowl winning qb walk in free agency.

You have to remember Franchises are very dynamic via multiple mechanisms.
It’s not trying to mimic real life 100%, but present each User with their own unique Franchise experience.

Anything can happen, that’s the theme.

Something different will happen to Baker in another gamers Franchise, doesn’t necessarily mean the Logic is broke and TBH I believe Franchise gamers would hate to know something would happen exactly 100% of the time with no deviation.
