Stanford's rushing attack demolishes Huskies defense as Washington suffers first loss
Palo Alto - For the 2nd week in a row, the Huskies had no answer for another teams rushing attack, as Anthony Wilkerson totaled 204 yards, and 4 score. The Cardinal rushed for 297 as a team, and the Huskies suffered their first defeat of 2013 falling to the cardinal 42-23. The Cardinal coming off back to back losses and losing starting QB Kevin Hogan last week to a foot injury didnt put much pressure on their young backup, as ran the ball off a total of 61 times in this one, and why not? The Huskies defense could not stop anything the Cardinal did on the ground, and by the time Keith Price tried to rally in the 4th it was well too late. The Huskies actually got the game to 35-17 early in the 4th, and were driving for another score, but a Shayne Skov interception in the end zone finally sealed this one for the Cardinal who were happy to get back in the W column. It wont get any easier for the Huskies as they welcome the high flying offense of their arch rival Oregon into Husky Stadium next Saturday.
