Mariners bats come up short again as Angels split series

Seattle - Once again the Mariners could not generate much with the bat, but this time the pitching could not hold up, as the Angels were able to get a split in the quick 2 game series. Former Mariner Raul Ibanez drove in three of the Angels four runs in the ball game. While on the other side Robinson Cano had his first home run as a Mariner, a solo shot in the sixth inning. The Mariners now get a day off before welcoming the Oakland A's into town for a three game weekend series.
