Seahawks offense can't get going in rain squall in loss to Colts
Seattle - The Seahawks 2018 campaign got off to a very rocky start on Thursday night, as heavy rains derailed much offense happening on either side, but Seattle looked much the worse of the two teams at handling the conditions in a 15-5 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts. Granted there was not too much to panic about long term, as the regular starters each saw only one series each. Russell Wilson's only throw of the game was intercepted however as he appeared to get mixed up with new receiver Brandon Marshall on a route. Coach Pete Carroll didn't seem overly concerned when asked about it after the game though, stating. "That's what the preseason is for, is to get those kinks out of the way. Both those guys are veterans and they'll get it fixed." As if the anemic offensive showing wasn't bad enough, Seattle also suffered some injuries, most notably to off season sensation Shaquem Griffin, who after an X-Ray appears to have some broken ribs that will keep him out of action for at least the remainder of the preseason. On top of that, another rookie Will Dissly will be out even longer with a broken clavicle. Expect a few roster moves to be coming for Seattle this week to fill those holes left by the injuries.
