TIGERS (60-13) SWEEP REDS
Detroit won game one, 9-1. Kyle Dutcher (30), Riley Greene (9), Colt Keith (8), Matt Vierling (6), and Spencer Torkelson (14) all had home runs. Vierling had 3 RBI, Torkelson and Greene had 2 each. Tarik Skubal (13-1) allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 6 innings, earning the win.
Detroit won game two, 806. Riley Greene (10), Spencer Torkelson (15), and Kyle Dutcher (31) each homered for the second straight game. Torkelson had 3 RBI, Dutcher 2 RBI. Tyler Holton (2-0) earned the win in relief. Will Vest picked up his 4th save of the season.
Game three went to Detroit by a 2-0 score. Reese Olson (6-2) allowed no runs on 4 hits over 7 innings. Jason Foley earned his 19th save of the season. Kyle Dutcher (32), and Spencer Torkelson (16) each hit a solo home run. It was the third straight game with a home run for both of them. Matt vierling made a highlight reel catch, taking away a home run from Elly De La Cruz.
UP NEXT
The Tigers have an off day on Monday, then will conclude their home stand with a three game series against the Pirates.
