Madden 09: Cris Collinsworth and Tom Hammond New Color Commentary Team

In the recent Madden NFL 09 press release we posted, it looks like we'll be seeing the in-booth play-by-play and color commentary team of Cris Collinsworth and Tom Hammond.

Also I hope the injuries are done better this year since they have commentating. The way injuries occur and are reported is so unrealistic. Hell this is Madden tho, what is realistic?

In fact, I bet there is some language in the exclusive contract that might preclude any semblance of ESPN integration. I'm sure the league wants to push NFL Network integration at the expense of ESPN stuff.

I hope they have enough content from them so that it doesn't get too repetitive. With it being the first year, I'm thinking there won't be much variety in what they say.

Maybe they keep the radio guy and give us an option of what feature we want. Just moved him to the sideline. Personally, I hated it.

FIRSTLY, let me say that I am thankful.

Secondly, I also agree that CC is a pompass twit who loves to hear himself talk.

BUT... I dont mind him being on there and hopefully his affinity to hear himself speak will allow for tons and tons of diverse commentary.

Add me to the list of folks who likes Collinsworth. He's not afraid to take a stand on an issue. I enjoy his commentary.

I absolutely cant stand collinsworth....most annoying commentator ever. Hopefully I can just turn this off. Honestly, I'd rather have the radio guy over that idiot.

I'm not a fan of Collinsworth, but I know that this is a game and his lines will be scripted and unbiased.

I actually didn't mind radio guy, but I've been playing since the days when all you had was madden saying "he tried to run through the hole......but there was no hole!"
