We have just posted our first preview of Backbreaker.

It certainly is valid and I'm not basing anything on EA's schedule so I don't know why you're bringing them up. Once again, I don't care about Madden or NCAA, I'm not an EA football fan. You can say that it's getting old if you want but there's a reason why alot of people are skeptical about this game coming and it's not because they're using a new engine.

Wow, the developer wants us to take his word for it that the game is great and complete, even though we have no information on any sort of franchise mode and no video of actual gameplay. Ask the Madden developers, they'll tell you that their game is a realistic portrayal of NFL football. Should I believe them too?

I will buy this gamew as long as it has some sort of Franchise Mode and a little depth to it.If it's just bare bones with cool animations/graphics it won't be worth it,APF wasn't.

It still to this date has proven to be just that, a "tech demo". Once we get some REAL footage of the actual game then we'll shed the title.

One thing's for sure. No marketing, no brand recognition, no footage, and no license... I hope they aren't expecting much when it does drop.

Exactly,I haven't read of any release date other than later this year.Whenever they release the game,I just hope it's a complete game,not half a$$ like APF.

Jesus, Please will everyone stop fighting with each other. Yes some think it will be a Tech Demo, yes some think it will be a full game. But here is a idea.

How bout we stop fighting over it eh? We are all loving, caring people.

Lets just wait to see more info before any get their panties in a bunch and yell for mama.

So lets have this thread go back to the peaceful one it once was.

that's good, because unless you can name a tech demo that had been given a name, released screenshots and video, and stated by the developers that it was comming to consoles...you have no point, no reasons/evidence for comming to your conclusion, and finally, questionable motives for posting the nonsense in the first place.

An answer about what? All I said was that I'll be skeptical until I see something, I talked about the possibility of it being a tech demo I didn't say that that's what it is. I don't get why you get so offended anyway. You can let this thread die or be happy that people care enough to discuss it at all. The fact is that some who champion this game in this thread have been a reflection of Backbreaker itself, ie. vying for attention while showing very little substance.

Once this game shows more than just a few isolated anims of what it can do and show us actual gameplay footage, it will continue to have this stench no matter what the developers do to tout it.

allBthere: the answer to your question...Duke Nukem Forever comes to mind. How long have those developers been blowing smoke?

I hope I see Backbreaker in retail form, but I'm not going to get behind it until I see something.

yeah, where the hell is any new info on this game? Im starting to lean towards a tech demo too. We havent seen ANY gameplay video(11 on 11). Or heard anything about customization/ season/franchise/if this game is more than a demo/teams/release dates. The info on this game kinda died off...

@ anyone trying to dog this game, or to anyone who "has their doubts".

This game is the most interesting thing to happen to sports games since they went 3D back in the 90s. In an era of sports license exclusivity that has squeezed nearly all the life out of the sports genre, this game is like a revelation.

If it so happens that this game turns out to suck crap, then by all means come back here and bitch and moan like ya mamma don't care 'bout ya... But until then STFU ya bunch of ingrates.
