Gameplay seems to be fine with me. AI not so good. Presentation nice but still could use some polish. I've seen some weird things that I'll chalk up to the demo and wait to rent the retail before I make up my mind.

Demo downloads never go this fast...especially at release, so it might be a really "light" demo, so to speak.
Iv played enough demos to know that thesw games are 98.9% will be the same as the retail version. Nba 2k9 demo wad no different at all to it retail veraion

Ok, just had a game winning hit with Ibanez. Werth was on second, he slid head first into home (with catcher blocking, ouch) and as soon as he touched the plate, BOING!!!!!!! He was up on his feet with no animation transition, jogged to the dugout, and that was it.

No excitement nothing.

Could be a demo thing as far as the lack of excitement, but the animations/transitions, they hurt.

There definately seems there is a problem with collision detection (with balls out of play and some players in and out of the dugout), but from what I have seen so far from the gameplay, its very much fun and the controls are pretty sweet( especially pitching) as for batting im a fan of classic hitting (button), so im glad they have an option for that. If you are a fanatic of graphics and animations, this game may disappoint u, but if u enjoy a good game of challenging baseball, this game is def for u

This is the same way i feel. Gameplay is good to me. The AI could use a little work. I'll rent it as well to see if the final version has better AI.

Plus I am pretty sure that the gameplay is set to pro difficulty, as the previous 2 demos used that as their default

I honestly feel the gameplay is good and this is coming from a person who didnt buy 2k8 cause i thought it was horrible.

The more i play the demo the more i see another fail the controls are just bad

Crawford tried stealing on me twice

The other game blows this game out the water in the graphics department, but I love the commentary in this game. The controls feel a lot tighter then 2k8.

Honestly this is the only thing i disagree with you in. I feel the controls are tight. Maybe your not use to them or something.

I have too, and I can tell you that it varies...blanket statements don't apply here. 2K7, for example, was much better in the final version than the demo IMO. To each his own though...was just throwing it out there

Impressions to come

Idk whart you mean by tight but they tried to make the fielding like mvp but failed i really wanted this game to be good but i see yet another 70-75 review rating

This is going to stop now. There are NOT going to be accusations that people are "spies" for 2K trying to pump the game up. Basically what some of you are saying is because one person's opinion differs from yours, they are wrong.

Ends now.

Some of you might want to re-read the read before posting thread again as well.

Back to impressions of the demo.

Of course Percival throws a fastball down the middle in an 0-0 game for me using Howard to jack it out. Felt scripted.

They come out of dugout, around plate is a spread out fashion, Howard looks hilarious in a Benny Hill type jerky run, and that was it.

The animations need work. Just detracts from the game.

And every time I see Howard catch a ball at first, I swear he is going to slip a disc in his back or pull a hammy.

The controls, IMO, I thought 2K7 were a bit better. This just seems to lock you it too much. Or maybe I am just used to The Show now. For some reason it doesn't feel fluid.

As for ExtremeGamer, I agree, but you should also mention people should not jump on people, and accuse them of finding things wrong just to find things wrong. It is an impressions thread after all.
