If that pocket does not set up faster then to me it is simply cosmetics. It is not going to mean a damn thing when a guy gets in the gun.
That had to be on pro. (God I hope it was) If it wasnt than man coverage is still non-existent. Everytime the d was in man except for touchdown, every wr was wide open.

+ The presentation is a definite upgrade!
+Gameplay being slowed down is evident and I like the outcome.
- The pre-game audio was completely screwed. Hammond's voice seemed to be coming out of the speakers in the stadium and it sounded very off. Plus it got awkwardly silent numerous times throughout the pre-game intro. I would have liked for Hammond to shut up and let us listen to the ref conduct the coin toss. In fact just make Hammond shut up for the whole game.
- The fumble pile-up was messed up. Cowboy's won, Cowboy fans booed, and the Eagle's celebrated? I'm assuming/hoping this build was fairly early and that stuff will certainly be fixed.
- NEED MORE VIDEOS. Such a short heavily edited video makes it hard to get a true feel for what is in store this year. Hopefully E3 will show us loads of video.

They seem to have thickened Romo up some, which is nice to see if we're not going to get the real solution in flak jackets.

That and the lighting and textures are a million times better in the video than the old screen.

I like what they are trying to do and incorporate, it just comes off to me as tacky. I wish it was incorporated into the gameplay and not its own cutscene.

Actually looks like an upgraded version of 2k5 - at last. This is the sort of footage i've been waiting months to see. amazing stuff.

I completely agree with you LBz...we may need to put a bug in Ian's ear to ensure that the pocket will form faster. DE's should be forcing QB's to step up in the pocket!!

FYI - crowd noise was 100% broken in the build those guys used to capture this video.

It's crazy, this video is about 2 weeks old and it already looks totally out of date to me because of all the recent changes we've been making to gameplay. It still is a good showcase of many of the things you guys should expect to see.

Ian, II just want to thank you for showing the eagles and the new cowgirls stadium. The game is looking good, and I might just spend $120.00 on this game.
P.S. I can't wait until August 14th.

Very good to hear about the crowd noise! I am really hoping you guys have made big strides in this area, it would add alot to immersion. Also, this video looked much faster then the gametrailers video. It did not look like it had the 5% slower gamespeed?

Looks real good, presentation looks improved and we havent seen all of it yet. EA has my 60 dollars this year, but if Hammond is announcing next year, I will not buy '11.
The guys voice is so dead and lifeless, it really detracts from the game. There is nothing you can do EA that will fix his robotic, monotone, Kenny G voice.
And no I will not play with my music on or stadium announcers.
I need to play with commentators.

I want my speed pocket set up. Some people may be tired of hearing about it, but without that when a guy gets in the gun we are gonna be in trouble. Secondly, against the run I need for the Dlinemen to be able to hit the gaps if I give them the command to crash right or left. In the run blocking vid the Olinemen were sliding into place and blocking guys straight up. If I call crash right and the run is to that side, the Dline should hit the right gaps and I should be able to check my gap with the linebacker and get to the football. It is not long term solution, but we need something to mimic a run fit.

# 118 Captain Obvious @ 05/28/09 08:34 PM
the pocket is way to wide. if its on pro shouldnt it be smaller because its on an easier difficulty so it should be easier get to the qb? man coverage looks like ***, same as last year. at least there was an over the shoulder catch, DB didnt react to it cause he didnt turn his head.

disappointed to be honest

# 119 iAM-IncReDiBLe- @ 05/28/09 08:34 PM
I loved what I saw. Obviously some presentation aspects were edited out and the CB was user controlled. The pocket didn't form as fast as I hope, but I believe it will be fixed by august 14th.

They seemed to have made such a big improvement in one year. It really makes me believe that Ian and company know exactly what to do and the future of Madden is in great hands.
