Obviously you can ask more questions, and I can try to answer them as well. You should also know that I played four matchups, all against other human players -- three against my OS cohort Rich Chavez, and one against 2K developer Rob Jones. I was at the studio from like 10-5 (minus one hour for lunch) so I got time to be walked through pretty much every aspect of the game before playing at the end of the day. -The matchups were Spurs vs. Suns (me) on Christmas Day -- this was just a feature for the demo, you won't have access to last year's game via NBA Today. The developers want NBA Today to be, well, all about today in the NBA. The other matchups were Jazz (me) at Portland, OKC at New York (me) and Atlanta at Golden State (me)."

but i have one question my friend and i played association mode and created a player one for him and one for me, can we do that in my player mode?

Alright, fair enough...But what the frick does that have to do with Australians not getting it (not having a go at you mate)?

It's not like they don't put it on the disc for PAL versions. It's all down to what locale your console is set to. I can set it my locale to USA on my PAL version/console and it'll work. Can't they simply activate it for countries that have English as the primary language or something like that, IF that's the real reason it's left out for other countries?

edit: lol, oops, forgot to say how ****ing awesome the rest of the preview is and how fantastic it all sounds...cheers for all this!

hey guys!! im new to this forum im from the 2k forum as well. Love the article Chase.

My Question is about the D-League.

1. As far as all the teams in the D-League, Will they have their Authentic Arena's, and Floor Arts?

2. D-League Season Including play-offs championships?

While you were playing..

How did the Arena's Look? Does it look similar to 2k9? Does it have in-game cut scenes a look from different views of the arena?

If Live 10 states that they have atleast 500 sneakers in the game, How many do you think 2k will have?

Player Substitution Animation

In 2k9 when you sub a player In..the player will talk to the coach and sits down on the middle sideline...now in 2k10 with WARM UP'S is there like a special animation where they take it off and stuff like that?

Also in 2k9 when you sub a player out..the players goes to the bench, but then If they player had long SOCKS it disappears?? Like he has his shoes on but the SOCK is gone??? Does it still happen while you sub a player out??

Are court logo's are blurred again?
Are the courts correct this time. colours etc.
Do you do an animation when flicking the control stick.

Is there a possibility to play two players in the "My Player" mode, one the main player and the other player as a team mate or something like that?

Man talk about an in depth read, so much info was covered in that article that I am lost for words. Although I had one question, not sure if it has been posted or anything but in association mode did they mention that they upgraded the trade logic of the AI, I don't remember seeing it in the write up. The reason I ask is because I have seen to many "X" team trades "Y" player for "Y" player from "X" team then later on the same trade is done again between the same 2 teams and repeats about 3 or 4 more times. Great write up chase thanks for the info.

"-Cherry picking won't be smart for multiple reasons. The first is that your team grade will be terrible -- remember the grading system is based on how good a teammate you are not how good your individual stats are -- because you will get dinged for leaving your defensive assignment. The other reason is that not every pass will automatically make it to the cherry picker. If someone is trying to do those full-court passes there will be errant ones."

Yes! Yes! Yes! A lot of people of going to be BUMS this year! I hope every pass goes out of bounds.

Another presentation question, does it still feel like a tv broadcast between quarters (showing video highlights, etc)? The slideshow of images kind of worried me

Presentation question Chase:

As far as highlights in 2K10, does the game still show highlights after the quarters end in the game

. And what about the halftime show? Does the game finally show highlights and breakdown of specific plays that happend during the first half? Also the end of game show, did they improve the Top3 plays of the game highlights? Also is there any play by play commentary during the highlight shows at halftime or end of game? The slide show thing has me kind of worried also. 2K can't take two steps forward then two steps back in the presentation. Highlights after quarters ended was great in 2K9.

Another quick question: Does the game feel truly feel more physical in the paint and is the contact better?
