Listen to the end of this Madden NFL 11 Drew Brees cover announcement. Sounds like Gus Johnson saying "EA Sports: It's in the game!" What do you think about it? Maybe an indication of things to come in Madden's broadcast booth?

The fleece one is the super bowl celebration. You can see the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

If CBS were in the game, literally I would turn back the clocks and have like 14 year old anticipation for this game.

Danimal seems to have some keen insight or something so his post holds my expectations in check but Im hoping man, that would be awesome. any type of real presentation would be awesome but CBS, the network I watch all my games, with that freaking awesome intro to every game, would just be another level that even 2k couldt get to.

If he is in then this is going to be a major upgrade for madden from last year. Can't wait to see what Ian and company has instore for fans in the weeks and months to come in blogs.

Awesome!!! Gus Johnson is my favorite announcer, and one million times better than Tom Hammond.

My only concern is that I hope they make it so he creates excitement. NCAA Basketball 10 did a decent job with him, but didn't make it so his excitement triggered at the correct times. So hopefully when there's a long play he yells, and when it's under two minutes and it's close.

Likin what I hear so far for Madden 11

Whoa there fella I don't have any insight to anything, ask my wife All I said is someone told me about 2 weeks ago Gus Johnson was in and that little video makes me think he might of been right.

Aside from that I am dumb as a stump.

"Good" is entirely subjective. I, personally like him. Others may not.

One thing everyone can agree on is that the guy is pure enthusiasm, which translated pretty well in NCAA 10 and would bring some necessary life to the Madden announcing team should he be a part of it.

yesssss!! gus johnson has finally arrived!!!!

i think the Gus, Collinsworth combo may just work. Gus' enthusiasm should make Collinsworth much less irritating

I know you guys are pointing out the suit animation, which is ****ing awesome, but did you guys see the animation showing Drew Brees doing the pre-game huddle with his team mates pumping them up? How ****ing sweet was that!?! Damn, EA is stepping their game up this year!

Gus Johnson makes any event worth watching, there's no one better.

Just hope they record more lines for him than NCAA Basketball, he hardly had any.

Yes and he had the best call of the 2009-2010 season.

Gus in Madden = Epic.

GREAT move EA.

I love that NCAA10 was basically a trial run for all other EA sports games and now it's gone. Hilarious.

The possibility of this is just great, but let's get our expectations in order. He was good in the NCAA Basketball game but there wasn't a lot of dynamic commentary and it became repetitive quickly. Worst of all it sounded like he was reading a script and not calling a game.

Getting GJ in the game is just a start. It needs to be implemented properly with A LOT of dynamic commentary like NBA 2k10 The Show, and MLB 2K10. I wish they would just skip the script and record him calling games and go from there.

Good point, but if anything, they can build off of what he did in NCAA, which is very good.
