Oh and another move I cannot do is the spin layup or spin shot after driving from the post up. Any ideas?
For the spins, say you're going up the screen (so towards the right in the demo), push the right stick down and then rotate it clockwise for a spinning jumpshot.

I have a question about a certain move thats really stumping me

The hop step jumper

It says while driving to the basket, CENTER THE Left STICK, Hold Left trigger and Shot stick to the left or right of the basket

But how the F are you going to keep driving if the left stick is center? Wouldnt that make you stationary? Has anyone pulled off this move?

I assume it's gotta be like instantaneous. So just let go of the left stick and then Trigger + shot stick right after so the momentum will carry you some.

My question is this: Is it possible to do a spinning drop step into an up and under? I can do it into a pump fake but can't get from a pumpfake to an up and under, just pumpfake and then jumpshot.

Will the pick & roll (Xbox LB) be in the game since it was not in the demo

I think that's a safe bet.

I'm having trouble pulling off runners

Quote:
Runner-While dribbling towards the basket hold LT and move the RS away from the basket.(between mid range and close distance)
When Im dribbling towards the basket the LS is in a forward position, so when I try to pull a runner I get a dribble move into the lane instead. Since that wasnt working, I tried leaving the LS neutral, but I'm still not consistent with it. Any thoughts?

What's the difference between the two different spin-to-baseline moves while posting up? While posting up, you move the L-stick towards the baseline, and you press Y for one, and RT for the other. But both result in the same move - spinning toward the baseline in an attempt to get a dunk or layup. Can someone explain this?

Is it possible to post these offensive controls on the first page of this thread? This would also help all of the users.

Sure. Y towards the baseline is a quicker spin. RT towards the rim takes a little longer, has an extra dribble but works more aggressively.

So PS3 users tell me this. I noticed in the PS3 version of the online manual that the Playstation Move controls have something thats looks very similar to the Dual Player Control from NBA 2k10. NBA 2k12 Controls

Now what I want to know is if its possible to do this with the regular Playstation 3 Controller? Please say yes

Just letting everyone know that theres probably twice the moves thats listed in the screen shot. Besides the L2/LT and Lstick, you also can branch out of your L2/LT and Rstick combos. Before gathering the ball to shot you can release Rstick and that will trigger like a shot fake which can branch to a cross over/spin .

Yeah it appears to be in the game but only for the Playstation Move controls though and DUal player control was a feature 2k had in NBA 2k10 but they removed it in 2k11 and 2k12 for some dumb reason.

The feature allowed you to select any player and tell him to get open, screen, post up, and come off screen. very quick and useful if you ask me.

Yeah it apperas to be Playstation Move exclusive. Who the heck plays this type of game with the PS move? they shouldve added this to the regular controller as-well but nope. I hate when they add stuff then take it out the next year. so dumb

Anybody else suffering from "moves" fatigue? I go into training camp, start learning moves - then I go online, can't remember a damn thing, and my play looks as bad as those AI vs AI videos.

I couldnt get the shimmy moves in the demo for nothing. I think my problem was I was to impatient and didnt let the move play out.

I wasnt holding the RS down long enough. Once you've tapped left-right or left-right-left you have to wait for the move you que and hold the stick to whichever side. For some reason it came really easy to me in post practice.

I have mixed feelings on the post game so far. I loved it in 2K11 and I'm hoping they didn't change things for the sake of change in 2K12. The addition of the "aggressive backdown" is great.

Dribbling/jump shots/layups are still very similar to 2K11 thankfully so those are easy to pick up.
