Gotta love those announcements about announcements right?
I posted this before, but I will never forget this: at my old job we had a meeting every Wednesday. One time we didn't meet: the next Wednesday, we actually had a meeting about why we didn't have a meeting.
Do you work in Scranton?
What would make me exceptionally happy is if they tweaked the ratings/tendencies/hot spots/hot zones/coaching profiles to make the players play realistically during gameplay and simulations out of the box. That would save me a lot of time.
Unless it's something related to realistic on-ball defense or intelligent computer A.I. that doesn't have to rely on scripts and gameplay manipulation to be a challenging game, then I doubt I'll be impressed with any announcement from 2K at this point.
I'm at the point where I'm tired of gimmicks -- in all games. Where's the focus on good solid, immersive gameplay that doesn't get repetitive? Stop with the new game modes. Stop with the rehashing of old modes and calling them new. Focus on the fundamentals if you want to get me excited about what NBA 2K13 has in store.
(Excuse the rant. I just had a disappointing first experience with Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. I'm sadden by how far the game has strayed from its roots. I was cool with the futuristic focus after balking at it initially, but that was with the thought that tactics and strategy would still be a primary part of the game -- it is not.)
well am oblivious to that to be honest but i do know live 13 has ESPN i am along d lines of 2K going with TNT
Seriously, who cares? Does anybody even like announcers? Its useless to make a big announcement about how they will announce games. Sure, just give it to us as a game detail. But I don't think its that big of a deal. I turn my announcers off in every single game, no matter if I like them or not.
1. My guess would be an upgrade to the online interface. They will have possibly a new lobby system to separate sim and casual and possibly a better way to connect users in an online association.
2. My second guess would be a complete overhaul of how speed and agility is translated in the game. I am talking different acceleration and top end speed for the players so we don't see centers keeping up with fast guards.
I know you can't read into too much this early but that is my guesses
They definitely need to improve the online part. But if they are making an announcement, its probably about an improvement in the game without talking about xbox live.

This is what I have been waiting for, I hope they can blow us away with this finally, they have had time to fix a lot of things that were wrong in last years installment...
Guys its probably going to have nothing to do with gameplay. There announcing it at E3 so you have think it's going to be something about the cover, or like broadcast ream, if not something legends specific.
I mean think about "Ladies and gentleman we are proud to announce..that are A.I are super smart in this years iteration"... or "Ladies and gentleman we are proud to announce that we fixed are terrible rebounding and sliding".
That just doesn't make sense to be called big news. My guess is it has something to do with the legends and the cover of 2K
