But there's clearly a difference between Rose and Westbrook, despite all of their athletic similarity. Rose knows how to control tempo...one of the most important aspects of being a PG. And he did average like 8 assists last year.
I wasn't even one of the guys who said he shouldn't be a floor general.. To me being a floor general isn't necessarily setting up your teammates or getting the assists and what not, the term "floor general" to me means a guy who leads the team and trys to set the tempo/pace.. To me Rose does that and should be a floor general..

That being said, Rose isn't much of a playmaker. He is great at making plays for himself but not so much to others.. He's a great player and no doubt the leader of the Bulls team but the majority of his assists come from him passing out of traffic.. He doesn't pass to set people up or makes plays from their offense very much.. He passes when somebody stops him from scoring.. When he's cut off and can't get the shot himself.. That's not the definition of a playmaker.. No, he's doesn't look for his own shot quite as much as Westbrook does but he still does it quite often..

Also his MVP was a joke.. Pretty much voting fatigue for LeBron and the fact that everybody wanted to hate him that year is the only reason it wasn't given to him..

IMO the bulls would have been better off keeping Hinrich and moving Rose to the SG spot.. At least then they wouldn't be in the struggle they're in now to find a good SG

OK, I'll try.
Jordan was deadly every time he stepped on the court; No need to get hot with "Microwave."
And "Highlight Film" is for players who try to make the fanciest dunk every time they went up; Jordan was about finishing. It just looked pretty because he had so much hang-time.

Hopefully Kobe has a "WTF" sig skill which will allow him to make shots that no man should ever make....

So the Bulls finishing with the best record in the league with him averaging 25 and 8 with 3 wins over the Heat wasn't a factor? Ok...

That's true.. But all I can say is somebody with the "microwave" skill should never be allowed to get any "hotter" than MJ at his hottest just because he doesn't have it..

And I really hope the younger Jordan (if he's still on the game) has the highlight reel skill.. He definitely needs it.. The 90s Jordan I can live without him having it..

Jordan should just be allowed to have more than 5 skills lol.. I'm sure those aren't even the only 2 I could see adding to him, he's so complete.. I'm hoping, since I heard 5 was the max, that more can be added through hex/reditor

Apparently you don't understand how a PG is supposed to play..
Player A: 17ppg, 6apg, team gets to the playoffs
Player B: 19ppg, 5apg, team finishes with one of the worst records in the league

The rookie seasons of Derrick Rose and Kyrie Irving. Apparently, Player B is more of a true PG

The bulls defense had a WAY bigger factor in the having the best record than Rose did.. Having the best record is the only reason he got MVP.. Not saying the team is just as good without him as they are with him, but they're still a playoff team without him and still have a VERY good record without him.. Try taking LeBron away from Cleveland when he won his MVPs and see how good they are without him.... Oh wait

lol LeBron should have won MVP for that alone haha

I said SOON to be Rubio and Kyrie...I didn't say they were there yet... And yeah it's a little easier to get assists and wins whenever the next best player on your team isn't 80 year old Jamison lol

Have you even watched Kyrie play? That dude is going to be amazing! Wait and see

Exactly what i was thinking. What's also sad to me is that he doesn't have the floor general. He made his teammates play above their full potential by giving them a scolding. Let alone him drawing all the attention and making them wide open.

I think the microwave, highlight film, and floor general should be added to his signature skills.

I understand 2K insist the limited skills to make the game even but there can be an exception.

Implying u guys know WHICH MJ it is.......theres like 6 of him

# 217 Thunder Storm @ 09/02/12 12:51 PM
Im not a huge Jordan fan but it is safe to say that he is missing quite a few skills.

Or maybe we just haven't seen ALL the models of Jordan yet, some may have more skills than others.

thats where the signature tendencies, that they had in the game for a while now, should be applied.

I was thinking these vids were going to show sig shots handle and dunks but this sound like bs to me

The Jordan they showed was Jordan at 27 years of age. Perhaps, different incarcerations of Jordan will have different signature skills. Regardless, based on his ratings alone, the man will dominate and hit shots, whether he has "Microwave" or not.

# 220 Belly_of_a_Whale @ 09/02/12 01:01 PM
As for Rose being a "Floor General," Ronnie 2k said the sig was for players that make their teammates better, NOT FOR PLAYERS WHO GET TONS OF ASSISTS, etc. Rose obviously makes his teammates better, as Chicago has been better than the sum of its parts ever since Rose joined the NBA. In that regard (making teammates better), I think Rose deserves "Floor General" as much as anyone. I'd say even more so than, say, Deron Williams, who gets more assists, as DWill can't take a bunch of role players and turn them into a playoff team.
