Personally, I would HATE to see a "modern take" on the Oiler uniforms. EA/Nike better just have the Oiler uniforms that they wore during the Warren Moon era... white helmet, red facemask, powder blue home jersey with white pants, white road jersey with blue pants and the option to use white pants on the road. That's it! No "modern take," Lord knows Nike has gone ape-**** crazy with most of their "modern take" uniforms and RARELY do they work.

So much talk of the Houston Oilers. I wonder what the chances are realistically, that they would return.

Maybe we can have the Tennessee Oilers instead of Titans?
I don't see it realistically happen. The Oilers became the Titans prior to the NFL expanding to Houston back in '02 (the name change happened in '99). The name "Oilers" was retired by former commissioner Paul Tagliabue, hence the reason the expansion team in Houston couldn't be called that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History...Houston_Oilers

However, the fact that it was included in Madden this year as an option for a team in Houston (most likely the NFL's blessing was required) could indicate a possibility that the Texans could make the change if they wanted to.

Mexico City, London, Dublin? I'm on the fence about Toronto but come on now... You can't have those and no Vegas smh. Heck where's Honolulu, you might as well throw Fresno in there lol

These are NFL selected cities that were given to EA. Where an expansion is likely to happen. Virgina Beach won't be an option, simply because the NFL doesn't see it that way.

Always someone wanting to be that guy.

The raiders back in LA is the must do for me this year no other team fits the city of LA more than any other team.

Nike would do something different to separate them from the past companies. I'm not saying they have to go with what I linked but some modernization would be needed. Very few teams go 20 years without an update.

I was hoping to move my teams in like China, Vegas, Montreal, and some more mid-west states. Maybe Kentucky. I would name my team the Colonels, tribute to the ABA team and KFC. I love KFC and would laugh if I could get a sponsorship with them. (I like to entertain myself with sports games.)

I also wished for a insert text option for like cities that didn't make the cut and would have a "Similar to..." thing, like say my team is from Giant Black Hole, Space and say the base is similar to Brooklyn or Portland.

Actually, I can think of several teams that haven't changed since the early 1990's - the Raiders, Packers, Bears, Browns, Colts, Cowboys - heck, those teams haven't changed since the 1960's or even before that.

One thing I am curious about is if we will have the teams that can be relocated to available in Play Now - this way we can see what they will look like in an actual game.

I just hope Nike didn't do to the Oilers what they did to so many teams last year with that stupid "collar" thing... the Oilers uniform is a classic look - just leave it as is and add a Nike swoosh. Done!

We get the 17 cities, and it's my understanding that once you use them, you won't be able to relocate anymore.

It stinks since even without teams moving I'd still want to move teams just to make the divisions geographically accurate(Miami to South, Dallas to West, etc.).

Also it limits who can go where without screwing up the geography too much:

London, England - East
Los Angeles, California - West
Mexico City, Mexico - South/West
Toronto, Canada - North/East
San Antonio, Texas - South/West
Orlando, Florida - South/East
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - South/West
Salt Lake City, Utah - West
Brooklyn, New York - East
Memphis, Tennessee - South/East
Chicago, Illinois - North/East
Sacramento, California - West
Columbus, Ohio - North/East
Portland, Oregon - West
Austin, Texas - South/West
Dublin, Ireland - East
Houston, Texas - South/West

I also don't really see the issue Looman brings up since unlike NCAA the NFL has a rigid formula for scheduling so doing a simple team swap can't be that hard considering you can relocate any team.

Hopefully they'll put it in for 15.

Ironic that you would be the one to say there is always someone wanting to be that guy because it's actually a very valid concern and I do hope there is a way to turn it off.

Yes, it is easy for me to not move my team but what about the other 31 teams not controlled by me?

I don't want to play the Dublin Chargers twice a year.

As long as you're not playing in an OD, then you have nothing to worry about. The CPU will not relocate. If you play in an OD, just make sure it's one where there's a rule about ridiculous moves not being allowed.

I want to know happens to a team's logo if you move and keep their original name. Like, if I moved the Jets to London would they still have logo with NY on it?

You either keep them as is, or a total change to one of 3 options.

Hartford, CT should have made the list for the simple fact that this is where the Patriots were originally going to move to before they built Gillette stadium

It is a game where WE are in control, so it doesnt have to be realistic to a tee, its a video game....let us have our fun and imagination

# 98 Trackball @ 05/27/13 06:18 PM
I feel the need to re-emphasize that CPU-controlled teams WILL NOT RELOCATE. You don't need to worry about, say, the Buffalo Bills moving to Toronto or London if no one controls them.

I know it's been said before, but some things need repeating.

I'm going to move the Rams back to LA, build the Raiders a new stadium in Oakland, and probably keep the Chargers in SD with a possibility of moving them to Mexico. If Vegas was an option I would move the Rams there and put the Raiders in LA.

I can't wait for this game.

I know, I meant whether the text on the actual logo changes if they have the city name on them.
