NBA 2K14: Next-Gen Details on Gameplay, AI, New Modes and more!

Lebron James NBA 2K14 Next-Gen.

2K Sports today revealed a whole boatload of information about NBA 2K14 on next-gen consoles, which includes a four-tier approach with NBA Today, MyCAREER. MyTEAM and MyGM all receiving a huge imagining for next-generation consoles.

Yeah, I can give it a chance, especially the fact that all these ideas almost made it to 2K13 last year from a mod from some Pistons fan. But he had to stop because he got a job.

I'm in, my two favorite modes (myPlayer and myTeam) are back and I am intrigued by myGM.

Custom music should be possible. After all these systems are meant to be general home entertainment systems. I'm sure there are playlist features and that sort of thing.

The silver lining of not having a 2K NFL game is that they spent ALL their time on a NBA game.

I had no intention of buying a next gen console because I have my X360 since just one and a half year. I could have changed my mind only if NBA 2K totally blew me. I'm not going next gen for at least another year now, that's for sure.
95% the time I spend on 2K is in Association Mode and the rest is Head to Head with my buddies.
I hate every mode that has 'My' in it, and the cheesers/quitters online make me never play Quick Online match and Blacktop. I never even launched Crews mode.

So no, I'm not gonna give it a try, because it seems apparent that 2K only cares about the 'My' part of its franchise.
I can bear with lesser graphics if I can play the game the way I want

2K actually measured the color temperature of lights and count the number of lights and manufacturer of lights.

A for effort and, an A for weirdness. Seriously, do ya'll got Bill Nye in that bitch, 2K pulling out all the stops, they probably measured Tim Duncan's ear lobes too.

He said that because all the next gen games are the current gen games all polished up to look next gen but play like current gen.

Example of this Call of Duty Ghost which looks absolutely horrible on next gen from what has been shown of it so far. So NBA 2K14 may in fact be one of the only big titles that is a complete next gen game and not seem like a polished up port over.

I wanna know about atmosphere and sound though.

Tired of the rim sounding like a trash can on both missed shots and dunks

I want the crowd to sound like im in the arena...that stuff needs to change badly

I also pray they grab Fox Sports or TNT or something one of these days because that's missing from their game and its like a perfect fit

Truth Dre. I still feel like Live 10's crowd has been better than 2K's lol. Adding in lifelike audio for the crowd will go a LONG way in making late game situations even more intense.

Some of us can point out personal dissapointments without losing sight of the picture. Relax.

All I want to know is can we turn off computer trades, can we adjust other teams rotations and can we play other games on the schedule in the MyGM mode. I can rest easy if the answer to these questions is yes.

I don't know why they continue to confine us to a GM mode instead of giving us the car keys to the franchise.

I like some of the features being included in MyGM but we need the ownership like The Show & Madden 25.

I know i quoted you but not necessarily talking to you, its just that you brought up a point the others didnt

Im just saying, peoples expectations are a bit much even for me. At some point you have to realize they cant give the house and the farm in the first game.

Go back to 2k6 and I think they did way more than they did back then

We have no idea yet. Honestly, i'd also love for the ability to play any game on the schedule to make it's return.

But I honestly think the good outweighs the bad with this mode so far.
