Lebron James NBA 2K14 Next-Gen.

2K Sports today revealed a whole boatload of information about NBA 2K14 on next-gen consoles, which includes a four-tier approach with NBA Today, MyCAREER. MyTEAM and MyGM all receiving a huge imagining for next-generation consoles.

3 things i really want to know...which they haven't addressed:
1. Online mode (a little details?)
2. 5 on 5 gaming (how's the speed of the game; is the speed relative to the video game world or real life world?...i hate the speed of 2k since 2k8)
3. How's the sound (i hope it sound authentic and get really loud..."DEFENSE....DEFENSE")

I've been kind of down on Association Mode the past 2-3 years, but that was mainly because it wasn't really making any strides forward. With that said, it was still the deepest career mode in any sports game that I play.

I would have been happy with a Association port with everything vastly improved and expounded upon. Now that we know that we aren't getting that, I'm both excited and nervous. I have so many questions.... Will the D-League return? Will Simulation Intervention finally make an appearance in a 2k game?

I'm excited because I know that we're getting something different and possibly deeper. From what was Tweeted today it seems like Player Morale is in (fingers crossed that it works properly) and we get Highlight videos from past games (which is awesome). Since they seemed to have worked their ***es off I can probably give them a pass on losing 30 team control... Well for this year at least.

However, I'm nervous about what we may be losing. Are we going to lose things like Custom Draft Classes, Workouts, etc.? Needless to say, I can't wait to hear more.

Olympics wouldn't hurt too.

I don't think basketball is as global as soccer so I don't know if its worth it financially to get all those leagues. For now NBA, Classics, Euroleague(I think), Olympics/National teams would be the only desirable assets to the large masses.

From who? 10 people. I certainly don't remember that as a major sticking point with Madden. This is not to dismiss the point. But to say 2K should catch major flack for not adding in a non-essential feature of a MAJOR reworking of the mode is a bit much, don't you think? Some **** gets left on the floor dude. Considering everything that was done with this game, I'm sure the things not brought over *YET* from current gen can be forgiven. 2k never need to sell me I was goi to buy it regardless.....I pray this need engine isn't invaded with annoying bugs that make the game feel fake.........like 2k14 current gen is....

To be fair, I don't think EA knows how to operate in any other mode other than the position of dominance. VC, on the other hand, has always been the underdog and I think they continue to work with that mindset. I don't think this game is meant to compete with Live. I think it's meant to compete with GTAV. VC wants to be Take Two's favorite son I would bet.

Even if it's a one time thing for 2016 Olympics or something, I'm willing to drop $70+ for ALL OF THAT on one disk and the get the crap I usually do in NBA 2K.

Even if basketball just a Top 10 sport internationally, I think it's worth it if they market it correctly and it was a special one-time (for one year, it's not only NBA as the name)

well, to be honest it was revealed through twitter, we were watching the twitfeed. it say no more assoc mode, now gm mode, which to say i'm disappointed

Aholbert32 wrote something along those lines.

What were we supposed to expect? we only have to go on his word unless he clarifies it. So it was just misconstrued.

Dude, if the gameplay trailer didn't confirm this already (see KD and Anthony Davis shots), I don't know what will. This presser just confirmed what we already saw in the video. Nice how the trailer backs up these features like the Emotion (whatever it's called) and this. Knowing the information we do now, you can watch that trailer again and view it a little differently now, huh?

I can tell many 2k players have very little recent experience with Madden's direction for their Franchise mode. MyGM sounds like a Connected Career's clone. Everything about it sounds like some gimmicky GM experience. All they had to do was expand on the Association mode as is.

Dude. MyGM IS Association mode. What are you talking about? It doesn't have multi-user, but everything else. Plus many of the improvements Assoc guys have asked for...

At least that's my understanding of it.
