Got lucky and found a ps4 on the way home in a little small town walmart today and decided to pick up madden with it. I had madden 25 for 360 and traded it for nba 2k14 when that game came out and just wanted to give it a try on the next gen.

I gotta say after one game I'm really impressed. As I've seen with many posts visually it's not much. The graphics leave a ton to be desired, BUT gameplay wise!

I played the Colts (me) vs. Buffalo. They ran effectively and Manuel got hot after getting picked early. During the game I noticed so many differences. You actually need to run in control on D and O to make plays. Sprint is no longer all you need it felt like. Seeing little things like chip blocks and double team blocking makes it feel like a new game. Because of the graphics I won't say bravo EA, but they made a football game that gameplay people will be very happy about.

Well after a month of online playing I am sick and tired of it already, its nothing but a cheat fest now. From shake glitching, to one defense rules them all and shuts down all offensive plays no matter the personnel.

I really cant wait for my online leagues to start, it was quit fun while it lasted but something changed over the last week and running the ball is the easiest thing to do from offtackle now. I know im not the only one seeing this but man what a shame it was. Its very irritating to see people go thru such measures to win and then boast amd brag about it as if they are freaking good.

I played a guy who used cam newton and nust dropped back 20yds and or ran to the sidelines and threw cros his shoulders to wide open players. This was not the case the first few weeks and now all of a sudden its back to ps360 levels of gameplay.

Unfortunately off-tackle running is just as easy in online CFM. Not sure what happened here but the off-tackle running is getting ridiculous. Anybody can spam it

I must still suck then,because I still can't run the ball with any kind of effectiveness.

I do believe you guys,it's just for some reason it's taking me awhile to adjust to the game.

I do enjoy the game,much more than current gen Madden though.I've just about got my sliders set,and then it's off to start a franchise.

Well, leagues are more manageable about this type of stuff and the way these games have turned out needs to have fair play put in place and making it much harder to pass while scrambling like it was before. Im still trying to figure out what happened this past week with this game and why the devs would feel the need to revert it back to past versions.

Honestly, the game hasn't changed that much. The things that lead to these shortcomings were in the game from day 1.

After playing both versions of the game I can honestly say the ps4 is the better version. Ya the graphics aren't that overwhelming but they are more polished on the ps4. I am no fanboy I own both systems.I believe gameplay to be more tighter also.I would not purchase the xbone version after seeing and playing the ps4 version

I just got the ps4 and madden, I gotta say the defense is tightened up and the cuts from players are awesome. I'm enjoying it so far on default all pro but some sliders will be the way to go=pass rush still ineffective. However, I cant wait to see future installations cause EA needs to improve the game in areas. You wont see innovation with no competition

Gah, its fun reading stories about the college players but why did EA bother getting uniform and helmet colors correct if they only used it for like 10 teams. Nc State has the colors but top schools are all black.

No I think its worth it, its the best version to get if u were to buy one. Get it for the ps4 though i played the xbox one version and it seemed like I was playing the 360 instead of next gen.

Just bought the ps4, what a great console, and I bought madden. Mixed bag from me, game speed smoother, graphics (this is strange) sometimes overwhelming, but most part underwhelming.....I like the game because I love football, but why Ea do you take out stuff from current gen? Oh well, I will give you this year but you best do better next!

And I disagree. While it's better than old gen, it's not $30+ worth. Not at all.

I'm at a point where I don't think I can play the game anymore.

The amount of interceptions is killing the game for me. I'm throwing 5-8 a game. Some of them are my fault, yes. But most are super DB and LB able to close at a massively fast rate on the ball. Its just so frustrating that the game isn't fun anymore. I've tried all different slider adjustments and nothing seems to help. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I appreciate them tightening up the defense, but they went overboard IMO.

The game has so much potential, and most of the other facets of the game play well.

I hope this can be fixed with a patch this year.

I just played against GB...and Flynn had 3 ints while Roethlisberger had 5...lol

Definitely a sloppy game,but then again it was in the "froooozen tundra of Lambeau field" so I'm not going to go crazy yet or anything as this is the most int's by either me or the cpu.

I was however able to hold on for the 10-7 victory. I am really digging this game,and I hope this was just a fluke game.

I was extremely critical of all the next gen Madden videos before the game came out...

And now it seems I'm the only one enjoying it. This is the most fun I've had with a Madden game since Madden 06 on ps2.

Played a preseason game last night with my 49ers vs Chiefs in Kansas City. Game was tight throughout and the Chiefs took the lead 20-17 with 2mins left in the 4th. First play of my drive to win the game, I throw it to Baldwin, AI goes for the INT and misses, Baldwin takes it all the way and I lead 24-20 with 1:43 left.

The Chiefs march downfield, and I manage to stop them on 4th and 4 10 yards out with 20 seconds left on the game clock. Was incredibly satisfying and enormous fun.

I know a lot of people are complaining about INT's...and I throw a lot, but so far I felt that the INT's I've thrown were all very forced passes.

Anyways, I'll probably stay of these forums for a bit, don't want people to point out the smallest of issues and ruin MY experience. What's been seen cannot be unseen lol.

Really enjoying Madden this year, hopefully they can build upon this for next year.

You aren't even close to the only one enjoying it. When the poll was up asking what we thought of the game, the two options where it said the game was great and where the game was very good and much improved got the majority of the votes compared to the negative thoughts on the game.

And I can't prove it, but I would bet that people who bitch and say its a terrible game probably voted that they liked it lol.

I really like the game, but I'm just having serious trouble with throwing interceptions. And I'll admit a lot of them are from user error on my part, but a lot are also from the DB's being able to close too fast. I'm hoping for a patch. But I really like pretty much every other part of the game.

I think it would be pretty simple for EA to fix, they just need to have defenders going for swats and deflections more often while tuning down the Calvin Johnson Style interception animations. I don't think there is an issue with how well the guys cover or react, I like that, but it's just always a superman INT instead of a "diving sell out deflection/pass defensed" like you see all the time in real life.
