NBA Live 15 News Post

Sources confirmed with Doug Veney (from GoodGameBro) yesterday that Scott O’Gallagher (AKA OG), Gameplay Designer for the NBA Live series is no longer with the team.

Could he be on his way to 2K Sports and the NBA 2K team?

I've reached out to a few members of the 2K Sports team to confirm. Either way, we wish him the best of luck, wherever he might land.

http://www.goodgamebro.com/2014/06/2...k15-2k-sports/ whatever company Scott OG is with he will have my support regardless because I believe in his vision and I don't want his creativity and insight to be hindered when helping to create a NBA simulation videogame he also knows basketball fundamentals inside and out.
Unless OG, EA or 2K says otherwise im inclined to believe OG is still a gameplay designer for NBA Live. Everything else is purely speculation.

Why do people need more verification ? Didn't he just post and his title says NBA Live gameplay designer ? He even has an avi of Lakers vs Celtics ?

I'd think if he went over to 2k he would've changed that ?

Anyways. Not sure why this is such big news ?

How about a new Live 15 screenshot...full body this time.

Maybe Scott OG went the way of the mercenary, and became a contracted gameplay design consultant, and "works" for both sides?

Let's speculate some more. I don't think he works for either company right now, at least officially.

I think it's dumb anybody should have to speculate. He has an account and just recently posted, why not clear the air? He's obviously enjoying sitting back and watching everyone make guesses on his employment status.

ea hasn't said anything either which makes me believe he's with 2k. if he was with ea i'm pretty sure they would have debunked the rumors already.

Scott O' Gallagher is now a gameplay producer for NBA 2K https://twitter.com/ScottOGallagher

So there you go, there was probably some sort of waiting period or NDA involved before it became official.

Re: Scott O'Gallagher Leaves NBA Live Team to Join NBA 2K Team as Gameplay Producer
You won't have to wait until 2K16. He has already helped me immensely with features I've worked on. His basketball knowledge, understanding of how basketball video games work and willingness to help have been invaluable. And I can't speak for others, but I'm pretty sure his contributions are all over the game considering how hard I've watched him work with everyone here since the first day.

He has an amazing passion for the game, he's driven and he never says no when you want to throw an idea against him and discuss it for hours, nor does he shy away from bringing up and working with us on all the ideas he has.

An incredible addition to the team.

wow!!!!!!! curious to know how long he has been with 2k?

So what was the Kobe post supposed to mean?

Wish the guy the best. I know he gets a lot of the blame for how bad the game was last year. I have know idea who is at fault but I kind of blame it on time and resources. I bet Game developers are like most of us these days and really have more work than they can get done at a quality level in the time that's given.
Hopefully he lands on his feet and EA knocks it out of the park with Live 15.
