Might just be an issue with the Xbox One version of the game. I was going to pick it up for that platform, but one site said that version doesn't look as good. Obviously I guess it depends on your PC's specs.
If you want to see what the XBox One version of The Golf Club looks like, turn your AA off, set the resolution to 1280 x 720 and choose "High" detail. That's a pretty close to what it looks like on the XB1.
Can you be left or right handed before I buy it just want to make sure you can make a left handed golfer. I know it seems like a stupid question just wondering for those who have.

I have no problem with the graphics, but I have a 32 inch Sharp 1080 P.
I noticed when going back to the main menu it took it a full 25 seconds to load again.
I shot an 81 (+11) at Little Brook Manor, including three birdies and a 17 foot putt. Two trips in the water at hole 8 earned me a +5. I'm obviously not very good but I do have a lot of room for improvement, LOL.
Hitting the fairways was not automatic for me and Little Brook Manor is probably a pretty easy course. I like the feel of the game and I think the putting is awesome, but what do I know?
Just jumped in a game with mike24forever and chased his score.
I just shot 62(-9) Don't know if I should be happy of sad. Not sure what the course settings were but I hope that was a fluke
You are going to see scores all over the place, based on the course difficulty and your skill level. BigHoff and I played a course last night, and combined we shot a +23
I too am dissapointed with the graphics in this game... The last tw totally out trumps this game. I was hoping that the x1 version would look killer but it looks last gen. Framerate is choppy too. Really was hoping for a lot more.
I take it that with optimisation etc we won't see improvements in this department

I do have to agree here. I bought it this morning, I got to play 3 holes before I had to leave for work, while it looks nice, its very disappointing in the visuals department IMO. I also wasn't a huge fan of the commentary. However that I did get to play in the way of golf, was very fun. A nice difference from TW.
Putting though, damn, that's going to take quite sometime to figure out I feel like. Although, only playing 3 holes this morning, and not doing alot of research on how to play this, I'm sure I'll learn somewhere tonight when I get home.
I'm terrible at this game but I'm worried about it eventually being too easy. Does that make sense? How can I say that when I went 13 OVER after 9 holes online at Two Rivers? My online ghost opponents had little trouble, all shooting a 29 (-7).
I find the driving very easy no challenge at all... The difficulty comes with the putting it seems. Overall I'm very disappointed at the minute... I have yet to finish a round and have just turned it off for battlefield 4...seems like I'm playing a beta not a finished product
I think I may wait for more impressions before deciding. If driving is really as easy as it sounds that will really diminish the fun I will have. I want effort required for a perfect drive.

FLIGHT, did the course feel "easy"? If there were flat greens, slow greens, firm fairways, etc to aid, you can shoot good. Imagine a scratch golfer who goes out and plays a course that has no challenge, they will shoot such low scores.. If they go to the PGA level courses, not so much.

This is the beauty of The Golf Club.
Not gonna lie it was somewhat challenging. Even without the wind. Had to have good placement off the tee to have a good angle heading into the green.
I hit almost every fairway but the greens were firm.
This game has endless possibilities. Not knowing the course is a challenge in itself.
Someone stated this earlier. I really feel like I'm out with the fellas on Sat/Sun. That's the vibe this game gives me. In so glad there are no sponsors and everything is generic.
First two things that jump out at me that are different from EA (early access) to now:
Scoreboard wipe on all courses. Figured that was probably going to happen. Courses themselves are still available.
Lots more graphic detail options than we had before - most notably options for increasing the number of trees drawn in high detail (which, if you have a powerful enough PC means no more pop-in like Early Access had). Also has DoF and AA options added now. Object detail is powerful - definitely makes things look better but is a bigger performance hit than the other options.
More later.
Oh yeah - for the guys on the console you may just want to disable the "commentary" (term used loosely) and just enjoy the game's ambient sounds - that's what I did on the first day of EA.
