Very interesting sounds fun and in what mode ? I been playing the heck out of Playoff mode and Im finishing up a default allstar Playoff setup play as all teams and it plays so different then play now but its super fun and sim though puck physics and gameplay are more like NHL 14 .

First round was pretty tough but as I go further along games are harder to win but I also love how they setup fighting and tweaked it to perfection on who fights and how .

Ok Avs just won in OT vs Dallas and their going to the finals in my playoff mode so here are some more impressions and all while play Allstar default and the only change was raising Penalties for both.

I guess I wanna discuss what I heard a few mention here as a scripted feel to this game in modes other than "Play Now " which I kinda agree to a point but I also understand why its needed .

So Dallas at Colo and the Avs come out flying 2 PP opportunities and out shot the Cpu 18-2 in the first but only a 1-0 as Lehtonen like the prior two games let in a early one and then shut the door .

Now I saw this unfold before but not in a bad way as Dallas then change strategies , AI ect but it was fun and very challenging and it played a realistic game of hockey , video game hockey that is .

Well through all the ebbs and flow of the game I won in OT coming down the wing on a weak wrister after killing off two PPs so I must have had the advantage but OT goals are rarely pretty anyways right .

Shots almost evened out even with my 18-2 lead in the first but thats just hockey sometimes and throw in a hot goalie and some tilted ice and it was a very exciting game to play.

But I guess heres my point as many question they cant get the game to play normal ? like they have 2 great games with their sliders and then its junk and thats because all the stuff going on under the hood which youll never control kinda just like the show and its randomness or every game would be the same and I dont think anyone wants that .

Granted I used to hate sports games like this and still cant embrace it in the show but if done interactively and I have some type of influence Im fine with it and actually embrace it in NHL 15 as no real click slider game can reproduce the random types of games I have with solid box scores too .
Well thats my two cents worth and now time to Play for Lord Stanley s Silver Chalice vs the Dead wings no less !

My sister got me NHL 15 on PS4 for my birthday on Saturday, so I've had some time to play around with it. I'm really enjoying it so far. There are certainly some problems, but since I mostly stick to Be A GM, I haven't really felt like I'm missing anything significant with this release.

I enjoy the gameplay (though it required a little tinkering with sliders to get it to be less of a goalfest, as many have suggested here). The interface looks nice, but I find that it's too sluggish for my liking. There's something off about working with save files, as if the game is trying to hide something from me behind the curtain, Wizard of Oz style.

I love the presentation, from the sound to the NBC graphics. Unlike with the demo, I find Doc's delivery to suit the game perfectly -- I disagree that it's too slow or laconic. I think they may have also tweaked the crowd noise because I haven't had the problems that I was reading about with the silent crowd. The overall style really looks great, though I needed to make a tweak to my router to fix that weird offline lag problem. (Seriously, what's up with that?)

Overall, I have very positive impressions so far.

i enjoy the game but the constant passing to the net by the cpu is beyond frustrating. especially when there is no stick or player tie up button. its useless and frustrating.

ive even started to to leave the skater with the puck be along the walls. and double team the guy in front. still with two guys on him the puck gets to him at least 75 percent of the time

I just got an email survey from EA about NHL 15. When I saw it I was a bit excited, I felt like I was going to be able to express my feelings on the game, and that it may be taken into account somehow, somewhere - it asked me to please participate to help the developers make a better game for me and for others. Well when I got to question 1, how am I enjoying the game, and what would I do to change it, I gave a 2, and outlined a number of concerns, specifically around the AI and lack of modes...I assumed there would be more questions....the only other question was if I would recommend the game to a friend...no other spot for comments...nothing....This "survey" again reinforces to me that EA really does not care one iota about what consumers want in this game. A two question survey? Really? What meaningful data is this going to give them?

It may have cut off further questions depending on how you answered Q1?
I know I had a survey about one of their games once, but after I answered that I didn't own the game (I had only rented it), the survey came to an abrupt end.
So maybe by giving it a '2', they figured this person's not being serious so end the survey?

I never considered that, but if that is the case, again, they are not going to have any REAL data to consider. It asked me to explain why I gave this answer..I wasn't giving a 0, and they know I own the game. If this is the case, it makes it even more frustrating, as I was answering their question honestly, and IMO I was giving reasonable, respectful feedback

After losing 8-0 my last game.. I'm no expert, but I have played 100's of EA NHL games and I'm not sure what happened to make it lopsided for the CPU teams.

I deleted everything off the HD and reinstalled the game and this time I'm going back to simulation settings instead of hardcore (this was my first year using hardcore) and tweak from there upping all penalty sliders max and few other small changes.

The game speed is 4 on default simulation and I just like the fast pace game better than on hardcore and the default 3.

Game is fast paced and for some reason my 43 year old butt does much better with a more CPU assisted game. I'm back to having competitive games and I don't see as many one timer goals from the CPU - that was driving me INSANE!

Did the update change any goal horns in this game?

I played as the Blues and noticed their horn is different than before the tuner update.

Any one else notice any other horn changes or sound changes?

So far I've only heard of the update we recently had and the update coming this month, has there been any announcement of any future updates?

And about season mode. I hear people say "Play GM mode, it's the same thing". I've never tested GM Mode in any NHL, partly because it does not really interest me to work as a GM, I just want to enjoy the thrill of the games and lead my team to the top of the season. So, can I actually play the teams on GM Mode, or is it just being a GM? I tried to watch some youtube videos, but they don't show any games there.

There have been no other announcement for future patches outside of those already mentioned. It is highly unlikely that there would be anything other than those as they will be working on NHL 16.

If you are asking if you play the game of hockey in GM mode, then yes. You play with your hockey team as you would in season mode. But you cannot control multiple teams like you would be able to in season mode. You have no control over anything the cpu teams do.

Well the unannounced update released this morning gives us a little hope that some things not discussed or answered vaguely may show up after all.

DLC, patches, and tuners are all separate.

I have a funny feeling we may see player edit added. Why bother adding new CCM pads in if its only going to be used by a few in create player? In years past with Player Edit available EA never added in the new pads until the year after. I'm just saying that maybe there is a little hope.

On a side note they added Quicks actual mask to the game but I don't see much difference in the Edmonton Mask.... Interesting, will more follow?

I personally hate hockey, in fact I call it "soccer: On Ice" (I hate soccer too) but I downloaded the demo and found it to be pretty fun.

Thanks! I'm quite sure that you are exactly to whom the team at EA is trying to appeal to these days, so it makes perfect sense that you would say that.

Soccer on ice? This is the worst analogy I've ever heard and doesn't even make sense.

Haha, that explains why you like it then, because it's far removed from what hockey is.

I'm quite enjoying the game, however I haven't played the series since 12. Playing mainly Be a Pro as a defenseman but may have to raise the difficulty from All-Star, as I was drafted by the Kings and only 22 games into my first year and already placed on the first line with Doughty lol. It's not that the game is overall easy or difficult (we're 12-7-3) but I guess I don't see myself being challenged much. I'm at a +16, 12 assists, and a goal after the 22 games.

I'm pretty happy with where the sliders at this point in regards to how I notice the AI playing either while I'm on or off the ice. Most games are pretty even in all stats.
