For KD to be the Cover athlete, he's not getting much love.. All I'm seeing is Cavs Cavs Cavs.
#YourTimeHasntCome
This is true, but I feel like the whole cover athlete doesn't hold the same weight it did for all sports games ten years ago. Maybe it's just because I'm not a kid anymore.
Either way, you can't blame 2K for featuring the new-look Cavs more so than KD. Can't deny more people are more likely to be excited to play with the Cavs than KD.
Amen. It's like the Heat in 2010. They were everywhere cause they had a stacked team. Now the tide has turned and the Cavs have the full house this time. At least on paper. There is no denying they are the team that will be the focus of much of the national media as well as fan base.
The crowd sounded very generic and the 20+ Kyrie Fatheads in the same general area killed the illusion.
As a casual basketball/basketball video game fan, those glaring presentation issues stuck out like a sore thumb.

2k's issue is they haven't really focused on having more variety in their crowds. They upped the number of models, but they still repeat WAY too much compared to most other sports games. Last gen had like 5 or 6 different models, current gen seems to have maybe about 20-30(just a guess but may be slightly lower), while games like The Show has 1,000 and NHL has 9,000 unique fan models(MLB even has kids). If they had that many it'd cut down seeing nearly a fan every 3 seats apart with a fathead, the same exact sign, or doing the same exact animation(btw they need tons more of these too).
Anybody else think LeBron was acting a little bit crazy at the end? lol. I think they were trying to act out getting "hype" but overdid it
The emotion in the game has always looked a bit off or overexagerated and nothing like what you'd actually see these guys do, so I've come to expect it.

Actor: What's my motivation?
2K: You're having a seizure.
I guess I am glad they are adding it back in but it feels very dry. The players seem "ho-hum" about the intros, the crowd is sitting on their butts and overall it feels "empty". It would be nice if they could pump this up a little more and add some better music. fans should be on their feet for sure.
maybe it is just a regular season game. when ever I go to Charlotte games during the reg season, the crowds not going crazy during play intros
It's relative. Maybe the crowd is just starting too loud and there isn't much of a difference when the star is announced. That's my take.
Something else just hit me...when the crowd goes wild, we dont hear the group of guys screaming. There is a much deeper loud scream...think "300"
Thats an element missing as well as the modulation. Its crazy because the GSW have one of the best crowds and I have no idea why they haven't been recorded yet
This is muffled because its in the back but it gives you what else should be mixed in.... as of now everyone in 2k sounds like they're all on treble +10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfOvjcu7lCM

Lmao!!!
I agree with most of the posts.
Adding the intros is a great addition.
But the new announcer guy sounds.. Let's just say, I don't want to listen to him in every arena.
The lighting should definitely be different during the intros. It should be darker and the players should have spotlights on them, and more emotion on their faces.
And yes, why is K. Love wearing generics? Lol
Also, crowd should erupt for their superstars.. Especially Lebron.
Just as I expect Lebron to get booed when he plays at Miami.
