One of the biggest and most blatant things I've noticed is that the speed threshold is TERRIBLY low! Speed doesn't kill at all, and it's a MAJOR bug. I'm talking 100% of the time on a dead sprint, the likes of

Walcott, Bale & Ronaldo getting chased down by ANY defender ALL of the time. It's clearly broken and needs to be fixed. Speed is totally neutralized in a terrible way (something that didn't happen in the demo)

This mainly effects co/op as well (which I played w a buddy. We went 5-1-0, and PLENTY of BS saves by the computer made it a nightmare in some games.

The defense has been cranked up to an ungodly level! It's out of hand how overpowering it is now. After reading impressions online, its common place now for 3 goals in a game to be a rarity. I haven't scored more than 3 in a game yet!

I'm so happy w the way the demo played, but the retail copy so far (which did get a patch update when I installed it, needs some work)
It'll take time to get used to the slower pace but overall it's better this way. Hopefully it promotes more build up play but EA will probably change it within a month or 2.

The game is not bugged or broken. It just finally plays like real football and you can not simply outrun everyone.
You can update rosters manually i think. Could be time consuming but it's an option.

I like that 3 goals are a rare in an online game. Unless the person is completely horrible at defense there is not reason for teams to consistently scoring that many goals if the game is realistic. I think it's similar to how Madden's average scores in online games has continually dropped as the game has gotten better and more sim. I know when I watch games on TV I rarely see three goals and when you do it's a complete mismatch/one team just playing like trash defensively.

I have zero control over my passes. Tried it with full assistance, no help. Tons of turnovers, really frustrating. Will there be a day 1 patch or is the access version kind of an earlier built?

Try turning the power assistance on if you are having problems.

I have direct passing is very hard, keeping possession even harder. maybe have to learn more. i have been playing with a straight forward style in fifa 15.

Are you using the RB/R1 button for every pass? You shouldn't be doing that for every pass. That could be your problem. Those direct passes are meant for weighted passes into tight spaces, or to get the ball across a large distance quickly. For normal passes you should just be using A/X without any modifier.

If you are not doing that and still having problems, try going into the sliders and setting your pass error lower than 50 to see if that helps you.

Correct.

They have done an amazing job with this title but this is currently broken and has to be fixed. If you outplay someone they shouldn't be bailed out by any cb chasing down every player. It's definitely broken.

They fix that and it's pretty much perfect.

I dont think people know what broken means.

Totally understand where you're coming from. And I agree, I'm in love with the game this year, but for the sake of realism, the speed MUST be adjusted.

The FIFA series so heavily dependent on speed affecting the game so much more than real life, but there needs to be a happy medium found. Having CR7 or Bale constantly hounded down by CBs, is definitely a problem!

There are people in EA Forums complaining that the cpu defenders close down quickly their attackers...

# 215 TeleTex82 @ 09/19/15 07:00 AM
The "midfield battles" in this game are just a bunch of errant passes. Especially by the CPU. It seems like they just pass it right at my defenders sometimes. Even if they have a perfectly open back pass.

Another thing they've yet to fix is the handball stuff. Even with it on the CPU will fling itself atca shot like a possessed ragdoll and manage to block a shot with its hand, wrist, arm, shoulder and it won't get called. My defenders, on the other hand, not so lucky.

The CPU AI, by and large, still defends as if magnetically tied to your player. Mirroring every moment of the joystick. It's been like that for as long as FIFA has been around, so I guess I shouldn't complain, and I wouldn't if it were just the Boatengs, Silvas, and Piques of the world, but again even the Maya Yoshidas have the speed of a cat and the reflexes of a mongoose ...

im not sure what level you play against the cpu but on world class and higher the cpu plays quite well. setup your passes better if your having issues. last year you could ping passes around without even facing the player your passing to, this year you need the correct power and aim.

on my fut draft squad i had ronaldo and his speed and power was easily noticed when running at my opponents defense. using the knock on while sprinting will help break you away from the defender.

im glad its harder to score this year , last years game on offense was a joke.

I play on Legendary, all manual. I'm not saying the game is too difficult. It plays better than last year's disaster. It's just some of the same issues for the past few years that annoy me. The CPU will still just boot it out of bounds of pressured one on one in their own 3rd instead of passing it to the goalie, seems they've applied that same logic to the midfield.

this is where i feel like im playing a different game. the cpu passes back to the gk for me and builds up from the back. last year if i double teamed a defender he would just boot it out of bounds but this year thats not happening.

wierd

Same for me on all difficulties.

If you crazy pressure them sometimes they will just clear out of bounds. That is realistic though. But if you just realistically pressure a mid or defender they play the ball back and build up. Some wide men if angles are correct cross the ball over depending on your positioning. Again very real football like. At least that is what has happened in all my matches.

Also passing is very much improved. They will not just pass back heel all the time. Basically players pass where they could in a real game. This is why sometimes they do just clear it out of bounds. When that is the only play they have that is what they make. Where last year they could pass or boot it any direction at any moment very unrealistically. The game is way better.
