im not a huge RedCity fan (younger crowd) but i do feel he was as honest as he was allowed to be, which i appreciate. i loved hearing more confirmation about the rebounding and defensive changes. defense is my favorite part of the game! everyone will learn how to score but not everyone will attempt to master the other parts of the game. i love it
Yeah, I thought the kid was being honest. Lets remember usually when the game 1st come out each year, almost everyone is praising the game, then after a short time the issues, whether it be bugs, glitches, or issue with certain parts of the gameplay arise and we see the game without the rose colored glasses on.
1 thing that has always annoyed me other than their simulation stats being screwed up each and every year in the offline League/Career modes was the player control. I swear it seems to happen every year, that the speed and stick controls seem good, then they put out a roster update that just screws it all the heck up, and everything seems just to fast and herky jerky. Patches use to cause this issue with NBA2k, but every since they started being able to tweak things in roster updates, the loss of control became a issue in the roster updates.
OH and how many are worried that rebounding stats will be screwed with this tipping the ball around this year? I love the idea by the devs, but you better have double checked stats in games that your playing, and the simmed CPU games in My League to make sure its not counting more rebounds that it should be. As soon as I heard this, I thought great feature but knowing how things get done with this game, rebound stats will be so F'ed up more than likely. Please prove me wrong for once 2k when it comes to this, it really ruins the game for all MyLeague guys every darn year.
This guy actually did a pretty nice job and actually prepared. I watched that cashnasty dude and man what a mess that guy is.
His 15 minute video consisted of fire, diamonds, pink diamonds, fire, it's awesome, diamonds, fire, diamonds and....fire.
I just wish 2k would post gameplay videos so that we can judge for ourselves. We're 15 days from release without actual 4 quarters worth of gameplay footage. Other than that, I do love the information I've seen and read about, and I do appreciate that info.
Much, better than the J Fox video. Waiting for Shakedown's video, but I think this guy covered what wanted to know. I still want to hear a little more detail about the dribbling like what exactly is the rhythm dribble and how well the branching is.
Curious about the steal system with the "live ball" etc. etc.
I've read (from others - not seen from myself) that the ball sometimes gets caught in an animation during dribbling and sometimes doesn't actually bounce on the floor. Makes me wonder how they can implement a new steal system when it's predicated on something that isn't quite where it needs to be yet.....
But perhaps what I've read is wrong (sometimes the internet can be wrong I think). Hence the need for a blog I guess....

I did. It's a result of being able to to break out of any dribble or if you change directions sometimes the ball won't fully bounce. If you see it in game, it looks like a carry (palming violation):
I've seen it a lot in 2K16 and noticed in a clip of 2K17 where KD breaks out of a hesi while the ball is going down and right before it touches the floor It branched into a between the legs size up.
I told Mike Wang on Twitter about it. I suggested that the windows should be smaller and if you miss that window the ball needs to commit to the ground.
If you want to see what I mean check YouTube for NBA Live 14 bounceTek video. They show examples from live 10 of what I'm talking about.

Didn't realise that was you on Twitter bro.
But quite valid. I love the sound of the new steal system in theory. I just struggle to comprehend how it can exist when the dribbling/ball physics aren't 100% (if what you say is true of course). I haven't actually noticed what you've mentioned to be fair.
If this is the case, I can sense some outraged players feeling "cheated" when the ball is taken (or not taken) from them.....

Are you saying it is as bad as the Live 10 animations haha can't be right? I know exactly what you are talking about though now
The only way to get it right is they need transition animations or some combos can't be triggered in order.
Like a hesi to between the leg needs that specific animation instead of a traditional between the legs. Interesting though hopefully it isn't that bad.
C'mon man. I figured even PHI fans wold chuckle at that.
I will say this we heard enough of this in the media that we in Philly are a little thin skin about it. We don't joke about that, I say all that to say I am hyped for this season and the position we are in.
