This place is toxic lol. This is the only place I read complaints about men body types and their hair.

98.7pct focus should be on gameplay after the game is released imo

I think I've noticed that the CPU brings the ball up more by walking rather than running which is definitely a plus and gives the game a more realistic tone and the offense is more patient. I would occasionally see those 1/3 court cheese passes tho the CPU tries to make into the paint but not as frequent as before maybe 1-2 times during a course of the game.

I think the patch has improved the feel of the game now, plays more realistic than before. I don't think it has made the game worst.

They only patched the Zig Zag Shooting and, some more ACE updates.

I wonder how you guys would feel if you played Madden and called a Defense lets say tampa 2 and you ended of with cover 3 and it would get stuck in that defense no matter what. How would you feel, about Madden? This is my problem with NBA 2K 17 with them not touching the OTF in game Defense Edits outside of the vanilla man to man or 2-3 Zone and the in game ACE doing whatever it wants to without your knowledge, is a travesty. You are only playing one side of the ball and that's offense, you can't participate in being the "Architect" on defense.

I really like the way the game feels after the last patch, so I'm hoping it doesn't affect the feel of the game too much and returns it to that sluggish/heavy state. I just wished they'd attempt to fix ACE and POES not sticking. Every once in a while my subs don't take effect too, and that stupid in game menu for substitutions still disappears after .33 seconds.

Seems like this ws 1 of the things they touted for with NBA2k17, that updates wouldnt be tied to rosters, so even if you were in MyLeague. you would see the updates. Maybe I misread or misunderstood, it wouldnt be the 1st time that Ive done that, lol, nor would it be the 1st time the NBA2k hypemen pulled a slick one on us either. Be nice to get some notes on the patch, and some true answers on the updates being tied to rosters. Im DL'ing patch now, as I havent been playing hardly any lately so Im excited to see how the game plays now compared to how it was.

For us poor XBOX1 users, would you PS4 guys say that it would be necessary to wait until we get the patch to start a new MyLeague? I want to start one tonight but it doesn't seem we'll get the patch tonight. Are there some real differences?

You get a chance to try it out yet? I wont be by my ps4 for a few days and was just wondering if these changes helped the other archetypes be viable again.

I don't really notice a change TBH.

Last night for me was a placebo effect. Now the gameplay is back to the way it was. A million screens. Bumper car fastbreaks for the user (not as bad but not any better). AI is still spamming its cheese and doing unrealistic speed bursts aka lowering their shoulder and blowing by you and you can't defend it.

I don't know what to say. I guess the patch was for lowered FG% and nothing else. Ugh. I can't take it anymore.

Cpu has been walking the ball up for awhile now. The issue is after a defensive or offensive rebound the cpu doesn't reset to set up for a play. They just run and if they are a tiny bit open they jack it up. I would like to see the cpu pace itself a bit better after grabbing a rebound.

The problem is, when you adjust an attribute like a shooting slider it directly effects other attributes of the game. Player movement is one of those things. This is why I don't mess with too many sliders because they all effect the flow of the game.
2k needs to stop catering to online gaming and stick with core gameplay . It's too bad little johnny can't defend on-line because he hasn't figured out how to defend someone that is zig zagging.
So you cater to people who don't put in the time to learn the game and punish those who put in countless hours tweaking it to mimick the real NBA .

In the future leave the game alone . You've tested and designed the game for months on end. If it's not correct , implement it next year and get it right

Countering / Addressing zig zaging is part of core game play. The game play director himself said it is part of the anti-cheese code. Take that for measure.

Online competitors do want core game play fixes too.

Probably skip 2k next year this company is clearly going in the wrong direction the show and fifa are safer bets than the ever changing 2k landscape

The creation and rise in popularity of these additional online modes has made gameplay tuning an absolute nightmare in sports games. Barring various hardcoded mechanisms or A.I. flaws, offline can still be tuned to be quite an enjoyable experience, but in addition to many slider changes, rosters really need to be redone to maximize that experience.

For online players, it's much, much worse. You have the players who think that shooting 80% on open shots should be the norm, and that there is nothing wrong with using non basketball tactics to succeed, because, hey the game allows it. You have the segment of online players who want to have an offline like experience, in terms of trying to use real basketball strategy, but doing so while playing against other people.

Some people think that the out of the box gameplay was good, others think that only now after patches 6 and 7, has the game become really playable. Some like MyCareer as an all about the User fantasy gameplay mode, others would like it to be reworked to have real tactics and strategy in terms of gameplay and A.I.

I don't know how well it works, because I don't play hockey games, but I would like to see all games have the gameplay customization level that NHL 17 seems to have.

So does anyone have any real opinions of this patch so I'll know whether to download it or not? I'm not hearing much of actual gameplay impressions..just the same old complaining.

I only play offline so it's not like I have to download it. I like how the game is playing after the last patch and some slider adjustments so I just want an honest and knowledgable opinion of this last patch.
