Yeah, they announced it during the Winter Meetings. Both UA and Fanatics are replacing Majestic and Nike.

UA is taking over...and I love it.

McCann never wore it in games. 2015 was also the year they released UA prototypes. They are now full fledged.

I've never been more excited for the show to come out, even though my teams (braves, reds, phils) are atrocious and are likely going to be filled caps and very few face scans/ and I'll have to see Bartolommeo colons body model on the braves... I'm psyched. Overall they killed it this year with the uniforms. There are few missing, but they probably weren't in the style guide. Any other reds fans wanna see the 90's home and away and the early 2000s home and away added for next year as throwbacks? Those were the best:

Apparently they dont have to be in the styleguide to be in the game, scea can call them 'throwbacks' and put them in under that category. It was always my understanding the styleguide dictated what goes in, but that seems to have changed. *shrug*

Nothing has changed. Throwbacks have never been a part of the style guide. If something had changed we would have never had any throwbacks in the game.

I should have been more clear, my understanding of what can go in has changed.
I always thought the styleguide dictated everything, from socks to caps and evrything in between. But I was wrong. All along, SCEA could put throwbacks in and not worry about the styleguide. I daresay there were quite a few of us with the misunderstanding the styleguide was the "Be All, End All" for uni's.

And that's fair but I don't think the misunderstanding was that the style guide is the be all, end all because it is. I think the misunderstanding was about what was actually in the style guide since it's pretty much a unicorn to the vast majority of us.

Never understood why the style guide is so secretive. Maybe there's certain things that the general public can't see but as far as uniform parts I don't see what harm would be done by just showing us the uniform parts. In theory if everyone who has to follow the style guide is following the style guide then there's nothing in the style guide that we can't see. If that makes sense.

I'm with you, I don't get it either. I think it's more frustrating for users of this site because most of us understand it isn't a fight to have with SCEA so we don't have direct line of site of those who put it in place.

I feel like the devs would get less heat here if they could say "look THIS is what the style guide shows so there's nothing else we can do, sorry." Instead it's a constant struggle to figure out what's in the style guide and what isn't and what can be tweaked and what can't.

A perfect example of this whole style guide convo is with the Rockies black alternate. One year they have purple sleeves, then its changed to black the following year, next year it's back to purple, now this year they are back to black sleeves. And each year the explanation is, that's what's in the style guide.

Exactly and I highly doubt the Rockies change the damn thing every year. The problem has usually been teams don't update the guide at all and apparently the Rockies update it every year the wrong way? I'm not buying that.

I always assumed the reason the styleguide isnt readily available to just anyone was so as to try to keep it out of the hands of as many merchandise counterfeiters as possible.

Yes. I was just saying the past 3 years or so the sleeves have changed in the game every year.

Ramone... Any chance to update colors of some of the Alternate jerseys?

For example... Giants orange alternate, all teams with red alternates to match the Twins red alternate color (That one is perfect), etc.

They are in art freeze, so they won't be updating any more colors. I kind of wish they had done this stream near the begging, that way they would have had more time to get feedback to make these changes.

Art freeze occurred in the past week. Nothing else will visually be changed for '17. The game is nearly complete so it's too late now to alter things like that.

Work on it for next year. Post real life shots in different lighting situations versus in game screen captures. This helps the art team.
