This is huge. Whatever you may think of Cutler, and I know many think he is over rated, he is a HUGE upgrade over Orton or Grossman. This changes the NFC North big time.
Cutler may not be your model QB, but I'd like to see anyone argue this isn't an upgrade. Sure, the Bears likely overpaid for him, but I don't think any fan, of any team wouldn't mortgage the future if it meant winning a championship.
Pace should be a solid addition for them to. If and only if he can stay healthy. He has played just 23 games in the last three seasons including just one in 2007. But when he is healthy he is a good LT in the NFL. He just isn't a pro bowler anymore.
What do the rest of you read into this deal?

I'm thrilled to have Cutler in Chicago. It's so nice to no longer have a QB situation in Chicago. I don't know how this couldn't be viewed as an upgrade for the Bears. They still have Forte (who handles 33% of the snaps), Hester, and a great overall team that was nearly playoff bound last year. I'm excited to see how next year goes.

Yeah I agree, although Cutler may not be a Brady or Manning, I feel the Bears will improve significantly with him instead of Orton or Grossman. Whatch out for the bears this year, they always had the defense and only needed a decent offense.
