Jets defeat Blues for the first time in defensive battle

WINNIPEG, DEC. 10 - The Jets and Blues had already faced each other two times, with the St. Louis' team being victorious in both games. Moreover, both were high scoring battles with at least 7 goals each.
This time, everything went different as the game was defense-heavy. It almost looked like a soccer game and it seemed that both teams would walk into overtime scoreless, but Andrew Ladd finally managed to beat Ryan Miller, scoring a Shorthanded Goal (Note: we had a delayed penalty in our favor, but Ladd scored before it was called or even before Reimer left for the extra skater) with 21 seconds on the clock to give the Jets their first win against the Blues this season.
With another great game, blanking the high-flying Blues' offense, James Reimer earned first star honours for the game.
