Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

Possible work around to CPU* vs CPU* in CFM, create 32 "charcters" choose active player when selecting to create a player or create 32 super scrubs lol. If these players that are selected are low enough on depth chart where they do not see playing time the game will play itself. I've just tested with one game, doing Preseason to see where players move in depth charts after 1q.

Need 2 controllers to do this also and you really don't have control of anything in the CFM, not possible to create a player, coach, or owner that are all on the same team. Can call TO during games, and settings are available it wasn't able to sim ahead at all so use acc clock to help works as if you were "playing" the game.

If for some reason your player has to take a snap or 2 in game you have access to depth chart so just move that scrub off the postional spaces in the depth chart so he doesn't come back in CPU sim 52 man roster lol

If you use all 32 Pre exsiting "characters" you can retire that exsiting player it will say whatever sold the team or mysterious reasons blah blah retired but they remain on the team or the owner. I used Chicago bears to do this selected 4th string saftey, then each game for the team you play u need to create a "character" meaning pre exsisting player on the other team you are playing.

Doing it this way will allow the CPU vs CPU mode. After the game is complete u can "retire" those characters. Do it in this order- retire YOUR team player first, (you can't retire a player and create an owner or coach back to back on the same team tried it) then select a scrub player on the team u face next. Next retire the player of the opposing team that u just played, and create ur exsiting owner or coach and u have cfm coach or owner options this way. To get back to CPU vs CPU just retire ur coach/owner create the player 2 teams ahead on ur schedule and then create ur exsiting team player for CPU vs CPU.

There needs to be a exsiting "character" created or retired before you can return to your user team as a player owner coach

Ps3

Re: Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

I am still testing this out is not a fool proof plan or anything just something I found out about from a few users and reading a couple threads and my free time. Not sure what effect it will have for setting and sliders if they will reset or if your owner loses money and starts over, i am currently ted
Philips bears Pre season week 2 ready to advance to week 3

Re: Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

I am currently exsiting owner of bears so I have full use of the mode and options I can fully play the game if i chose or If I want CPU vs CPU I then retire exsiting bears owner So I create Pre exsiting "character" Matt mcgloin 3rd qb OAk (he will not see the feild this game), this is my next opponent. I then create a exsiting player on my bears team that won't see playing time. I then select game and it is CPU vs CPU. After the game I retire my teams exsiting player and then retire your oppenets player, and select coach or owner for your user team

Re: Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

I made all my cuts and roster adjustments I will now retire as bears owner from league and choose a player on the bears team. U want to choose a player that won't see the field that game.

****** if you choose retire an exsiting player from the league as long as u have 1 character it won't end your league or the active players career, u can use this to go back and forth between CPU vs CPU games and full coach/ owner options as well in the same offline CFM just ignore the twitter lol. I'm not sure still how this affects the owner aspect with finacials but with coach should work perfect you don't worry about the money as the coach but u still sign/resign players draft all tht as a coach and owner, creating the player as the character is what allows CPU vs CPU gameplay in cfm, then creating the coach is for reg. franchise mode

Re: Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

Ok so what you do is:
-Select active owner/coach you'd like to play as.
-Input ur custom settings
-Begin season
-Create exsiting 3rd sting"character" on opponent team you are facing that week
-Make any cuts, signings, resignings, player/coach upgrades adjustments, tickets sales, merchandise whatever you would do as coach or owner for YOUR team that week before next step
-Retire active coach/owner from league
-Create active 3rd string"character" on USER team

Game will play like CPU vs CPU for the most part u can just skip threw the coin toss

-Once game is over retire YOUR active "character" from the league and recreate active owner/coach "character" you had originally chosen
-retire the active 3rd string "character" you created for opposing team
-advance week, repeat using next oppenets 3rd stringers

This method works decent when you select a player that will not be on the field during that game. You actually only need to be creating 1-2 extra "characters" not 32 at once
Also must have 1 active character when retiring or it will end the league on where ya last saved

Re: Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

Can this only be done if you only choose only one owner? Or can you create 32 owners ?
And possibly avoid creating characters for every team every game ?

Re: Possible CPU vs CPU fix with coach and owner mode

Nah, has to be players only but ur not actually creating a player ur just selecting one active player on the opposing teams roster that won't play during the game. Once u figure it out it really only takes a min to do the character thing as I explained
Owner mode is the same as coach but u get the finacials with owners.

Must be player v player to get cpu vs Cpu in offline CFM

Characters are just what the new CFM calls players, owners, coaches
when you retire an active player from the league it just deletes them from ur character slot, the ACTUAL exsisting active player/coach/owner doesn't retire at tht point
