Interface Questions and need for FAQ

Sorry to start a new message thread, but I think we eventually will need a thread for questions and answers. The manual is not exactly full of the little details.

For example, it took me quite a while to figure out how to change team level in a quick game from ML to AAA/AA/A. I still (maybe not possible) can't figure out how to change the default stadium for a pick up and play game. Also don't see any weather options (Are there graphics for cloudy days or just sunny day and night game - and how do you setup a night game by default?).

My biggest question is about speed - when you get someone on base, is there a quick and easy way to see how fast they are? I don't want to steal with a slow player but I like to move players from station to station. It is easy when in the field to just throw over to 1st and see the player speed and know if you need to watch for a steal, but when batting with an unfamiliar group of players it is hard to know which players have speed and when to steal, bunt, hit and run or try to take the extra base.

Anyone else having a little trouble getting used to the change in the sliding mechanism? I am so used to using the right stick to slide and this year it will change the base your player is going to go to. For example I will hit the right stick to slide into 2nd base and it will change the base to third and my player will be tagged out when rounding 2nd.

Lots of little questions about the game that the manual just doesnt address. When you use the cursor for hitters edge, what advantage do you get for guessing right? I like using the hitters edge cursor but it is hard to guess location and then when the cursor disappears have to push the stick to pull or go opposite way and then still be ready for the swing/take decision.
