How do you play franchise?

Do you play every game, play one and sim one, or play for awhile then sim for awhile?

I've started a franchise twice and haven't been happy with how it's gone for various reasons. Now that the patch as been out I think I have my sliders tweaked, and I have my rosters with the full Cubs minor league system created. I'm ready to start a franchise but this late in the season I'm not sure I can play all 162 games. I still flip around playing other games as well that takes attention away from this game (Skyrim and Mass Effect 3).

Anyway, how do you handle a 162 game season? I'd like to keep a balance of simmed games with my rotation so that the starters have a equal amount of game played by me, and simmed.

Leaning towards a play one sim one for now. Thoughts/input/advice?

Me personally i found my favorite way of doing it is to play one game every series, and i try to use a different pitcher every time.

I am in my first year with my Pirates franchise and I am playing every game. That tends to be very long though so I think for the next seasons to come I am going to play one and then sim one

I simulate the first 81 and then play the rest.

If you play 5 innings does that mean you never use your bullpen?

Re: How do you play franchise?

I play every game because managing the bullpen in 2K12 is better than any baseball I've ever played. I love thinking about what's coming up as well as who is ready now.

And really, the fatigue for postion players is also very well done.

Since 2K12 is the end of the line, I'll enjoy this game for two years, getting in a couple of seasons.

I like to play one game of each series then sim the rest. It's the same as a 52 game season except the stats are more accurate.
