A Deeper Understanding of Rhythm Shooting

Made a follow up video to Kevin's after getting lot of time with this over the last few days. Once I figured out what the shot feedback was actually looking for, the mechanic started to feel a lot better. After just a few hours of playing with it has made it almost feel weird to shoot without it now.

Made this diagram of some of my findings. Explain it in the video in more detail.

Thanks a lot for the video it really made clear to be the small nuances about the differences between slower and quicker shots, whether it be stand still jumpers or pull ups/ step backs. I originally thought that the rhythm part was literally you having to track the follow through speed with the push up, now seeing that the flick up doesn't need to be a particular speed but more of a timing flick makes a lot more sense why it felt weird for me to use, will continue to lab it.

Also while your labbing. Remember the doesn't have to be pushed down and then up n it can go in any direction. As long as you press it in the opposite direction after. I tend to shoot a lot of different shots in the post.

Same, the word "Tempo" has a lot of implications that make you think it has to do with the speed in which you move the stick and had me confused as well. I figured I would share this since I really only got that insight when I started messing around with the keyboard, but after I understood it better my execution with it on the stick went through the roof.

It's an awesome feature. One of those "how did I used to play without this" kind of features almost once you do it for a while imo. Would love to see it expanded somehow into the layup game (if not this, some kind of overhaul for that).

Solid video man. I just go slow for slow jumpers and fast for quick ones. It’s harder for me to consistently time the slow ones

I’m confused what the point of this is for though. Is this for online play skill boosting or something?

When I use the Heat, I have a good idea of their releases because I always watch their games. But if I want to try using a team like Dallas, I’m not really familiar with their shot timing. Everything is too slow or too fast. It’s hard for me to pickup the shot timing over the course of one game.
I understand trying to make the game more difficult, but I feel like this rhythm shooting is more for the online myplayer crowd. If you’re using your myplayer all the time, it makes sense that you’ll learn a rhythm with the shot because you’re suing the same player over and over. It’s challenging when trying to enjoy different team since everyone has different release speeds and timings.
