I think that probably has to do with the overall bodies having added girth all around. A lot of the player's screenshot has their upper torsos thicker. Look at the Chris Paul torsos. Paul is definitely strong and bulky in real life. His screenshot however makes him look maybe a few centimeters bulkier than his true self. I'm just going to boil it down to 2k's scanning technology. Just my opinion and a guess. I'll take this over non-scanned bodies any day of the week. Everyone already looks more realistic and human.
