The fouls have been toned down. I do see that the defense is better on the P & Rs. I actually feel like I'm finishing layups at a more successful rate . I know they fixed the relentless finisher badge but I don't have it yet. I'm just finishing layups more often with contact. I'm actually posterizing players and getting those contact dunks. I like the changes overall so far. And I'm really glad they fixed the calendar issue!!

I find myself regretting ever buying this game. I swore I would skip it this year but stupidly allowed myself to get suckered into the hype machine again.

I've always been a big MyCareer player, it's just gone down hill the last few years. Until they separate Park/Pro-Am from MyCareer, I'm out.

It's not the game being overall too fast or too slow, it's the inconsistency of speed amongst the different animations. There are some animations that are way too slow, but that doesn't mean the overall game is too slow. For instance, you can blow by a defender and have a clear lane to the hoop, but you go into a slow layup animation that allows the defense to catch up.

It doesn't always happen, but it happens enough that guys like CP3, Tony Parker, Isaiah Thomas, etc..aren't as effective at driving as they should be. These types of quick, smaller guys who don't dunk, but can get in the paint and can be moving pretty fast and not have to slow down much while putting the ball up near the rim, they don't play quite right in 2k. It also has to do a lot with shot context, and being able to adjust the shot based on the defense, but often players just put the ball up like they are unaware of where any defenders are.

So after reading everything, I see the negatives outweigh the positives which always happens. I am seeing positive tidbits here and there which is good and I look forward to finally playing tonight. I don't know why people waste their time to constantly complain when I have yet to see any game especially a sports games perfect. Every year it's going to be new complaints and numerous patches because no dev team is perfect whether it's 2K or EA. It just is what it is and options are limited.
