Do Boosts Work in Pro-Am?

I ask this because Zach Timmerman said on Twitter that they do work. He replied to someone who asked him.

But I don't think they do. For instance, I have 82 ball control on my Point Forward. If I apply a +5 boost, I can then do the snatch back animation. If I apply it in My Park or My Career I can get that animation to work when it otherwise wouldn't if I had the stock 82 ball control.

But when I apply it before a Pro-Am game, I don't get that animation. Which means my ball control must still be at 82. Also, don't notice a Speed With Ball difference either.

Anyone have the answer? @Beluba?

The other worrying thing is I've been applying boosts for a while in Pro-Am and 2K is gladly accepting my VC for something that doesn't seem to work lol.

I don't think it works in pro am but I can't be too sure. Pretty sure it says in the boost screen that it's only for park and regular mycareer games. Hope there isn't a boost in pro am 'cause that would suck and not make it a level playing field.

I was always under the impression they did because every game I play lowers my boost count.

I'm only 99% certain of that though...

You got the proof yourself that they don't apply to Pro Am. I believe they worked in Walk On in 16 but not Pro Am Team

If Tims says they should work welp.. give him your 2 cents that evidence shows otherwise.

Did anyone ever find the answer to this?

The game says boosts work in "MyPark and NBA Games" but it takes them from you if you play Walk-on or Team.

If they don't work, but is still eating up your boost - isn't this a bug that needs to be fixed?

I don't know if they work.
I thought that in 2k16 they didn't work in pro am but did in the career and park.
I thought that I also seen that they weren't supposed to work in pro am on 17 either.

My questions with this are...

1. If they don't work, is 2k stealing from their customers?

Whether intentional or unintentional, it's stealing and stealing is a crime. People spend real money on VC to purchase these boosts and they are taken away, 1 per game, in team pro am.

2. 2k doesn't want people to boost their game by gaining extra attributes, but in essence allows you to do the same thing by adding boosts.
You're not allowed to boost unless you do it our way and pay us VC.
Then, you're allowed to boost.
Unfair advantage either way, but 2k is ok with is as long as you pay them VC to do so.

we need answers on whether these boosts work in 2k17 pro-am (not just walk on), especially considering the $250k tournament.

I was wondering why people even played the mtn dew thing because I knew boost didn't work and seemed like a waste of time. For 16, they worked in pro am walk on only. This year, doesn't work for walk on at all. I applied a agility and playmaking boost to my 6'9 sharpshooter, without the those boost, he can't dribble the ball up fast and gets that slow center dribbling up court animation, with the boost , he runs the ball up court pretty quickly.

The boost didn't work on walk on because I kept getting the slow animation yet when I went to park, I could run up the court quickly. So walk on just takes boost and it doesn't work that's why I avoid applying a lot of boost if I'm going to playing walk on from park.
