PS3 MyCareer freezing issue - Can only play key games.

Just wanted to update on my experience with freezing issues - PS3. After dumping REAL $ on VC for my MyCareer and experiencing freezing issues on the last game of November I got sick of resetting my PS3 and trying over and over hoping it will work so I tried play next key game instead.

That worked. I've been having to play only key games since. If I try to play regular games it'll freeze every time right as "press X" would normally come up. So I've kept playing like that since it's the only way I can. Even playoff games are simmed. You only get to play elimination match ups.

Is my situation an isolated incident? Anyone else out there? MyCareer was ruined and my damn VC wasted and 2K won't respond to my emails. Very weak. I hope this susposed patch fixes this.
