Re: Madden 09: celebration videos (IGN)

Ian, as always thanks for the responses and checking into the issue. However, from now on please keep the NBA Live guys away from your game. I can only assume they are the ones responsible for implementing the glitchy layup/dunk animations that are found in their game as well. j/k.

No. Given the scope of the game & the revenue earned, maybe it's time to hire more designers. I think we should be used for suggestions, not QC.

Fair enough.

Cool Re: Madden 09: celebration videos (IGN)

Constructive criticism 101

Constructive criticism is criticism kindly meant that has a goal of improving some area of another’s person’s life or work. Often constructive criticism refers specifically to the critique of someone else’s written or artistic work, in perhaps a teacher/student setting, that would allow that person to further improve the work or to improve their approach to future endeavors.

Generally, constructive criticism should address an area that needs improving but does not speak to the person’s self. Constructive criticism should be a reasoned, unemotional response in an effort to teach.
Bring your “A” game.

Very well said, the common preception is the more resources you throw at a issue the better the results and that's just not always then case.

That's ridiculous. Ian said the designers are working 100 hour weeks. Clearly, more chefs are needed.

At what cost? There are always budgets to work with.

If more chefs are added, to offset the added cost of more chefs, one or two new items or ideas go on the cutting board.

Ian - I'd actually like to disagree on this one. Right now I am absolutely loving the post play stuff you guys have added in this year, and the fact that it is completely seamless is great. I think what NBA 2k did a few years ago, completely getting rid of cut scenes, was a great idea. Most people end up clicking right through them anyways. I guess I'm just trying to understand why you are so high on getting them in next year?

Also...

Question for you.... I noticed on NCAA that as soon as your guy passes the line into the end zone he does this stutter animation -- before he goes into his celebration. I'm hoping this didn't make its way over to Madden?
