Probably going to trade my copy in soon, if I can't sell it.

And if you don't think EA does that b/c of the investors, then you are naive. The Investors want a game each year that will sell. You don't own stock in EA or give them any money, so your influence and opinion, as well as mine, mean nothing. That is what I mean by the corruption on wall street. And that is how it works.

I am sorry to hear you lost so much money, I really hope things get better for you, but I was just being sarcastic.

But, if you want to make a statement, no one buy the game next year, and when the sales plummet, so will the stock, and the investors will listen, so will EA. Otherwise, forget it
I thought that's what you were getting at, but just checking. Yes, I see your point about EA and investors. Thanks for the sentiments about my money . I hope I get it back too .

Not only does little Jimmy get no ice cream, the parents don't even tell him why. They just say, "Sorry Jimmy. We lied. We're not giving you any ice cream so go to bed." Jimmy just got shafted and never even got an explanation. The lack of an explanation is what makes it that much worse.

I'm sure Ian and Phil meant well when they promised the DLC. But they should at least have the guts to come on here and say we screwed up and why. Even if they can't say everything, say something.
Great analogy RudyJuly. The kid then doesn't want to eat the vegetables next time thinking he won't get the ice cream anyway. The question is, Are we going to keep eating the vegetables? Probably, because it is the only darn NFL game (new one) out there now. I still say I think we should lobby the NFL to drop the exclusive license to EA.

Re: Phil Frazier Says No 3rd Patch or DLC For Madden 09

I am not happy about the DLC not coming out as you can see from my previous posts. I haven't played much (hardly any) Madden 09 because I was just waiting on the DLC since I don't have as much time anymore and I was busy playing NCAA Football 09, MLB 08 The Show, and both Hockey titles.

Doesn't the two controller method take care of the CPU sliders issue however?

I will miss the accelerated clock, but now that the CPU holds the ball longer on offense, is this really necessary? What are the best minutes now for a sim like game with the correct number of plays? 10 minutes?

Was there anything else on the DLC that was promised that is important that I'm forgetting?

EA blows on this one, Unbelievable, if Madden isn't PERFECT next year, yes Perfect, they lost my sale. I;m tired of all EA games needing a patch or patches every year, don't mess it up in production, take your time, I remember SNES days when Madden didn't come o0ut to truly fall times, end of September early august, take your time and release in the fall, not the summer.

There is little doubt in my mind that the free DLC was blocked by Sony and MS as they viewed it as what it was - a free third patch. EA was able to develop the DLC and I'm sure they had it ready to be implemented which is why I'm sure Ian and Phil are pissed they couldn't deliver it. But they should have gotten approval for this before it was even mentioned. Even us grown ups have little kid tendencies whose hopes were unnecessarily raised and then wrecked. It would be nice to get some further explanation though.

A question ......what indication did Ian and Phil provide that made them seem angry?

And furthermore...how does anyone know if it was ready to be implemented?
