TIGERS SWEEP GUARDIANS
Riley Greene (20) homered twice, and the Tigers homered seven times in a 13-4 blowout over the Guardians. Jose Agua (21), Kyle Dutcher (36), Spencer Torkelson (30), Javier Baez (21), and Jake Rogers (16) also homered. Greene and Torkelson drove in three apiece. Tarik Skubal (20-0) allowed one run in six innings to earn his 20th win of the season.
Justin Verlander (9-5), acquired Sunday in a trade with the Astros, allowed just two hits in a complete game shutout. It was Verlander's first start as a Tiger since August of 2017. Colt Keith had a pair of RBI for the Tigers.
Riley Greene (22) homered twice for the second time this series, and drove in four, as the Tigers beat the Guardians 8-3. Gio Urshela (3) also homered and drove in three. Greene had four RBI. Jack Flaherty (12-2) earned the win, allowing three runs in seven and two thirds innings.
The Tigers completed the sweep with a 10-4 win in the final game. Spencer Torkelson (32) homered twice, and drove in five. Jose Agua (22) also hit a home run. Matt Manning )12-3) allowed two runs on nine hits in six and two thirds innings.
The Tigers now head back home for a three game series with the Minnesota Twins (58-44), followed by a two game series at home against the Guardians.
AROUND THE LEAGUE
DODGERS ACQUIRE ADAMES FROM BREWERS
The Dodgers acquired SS Willy Adames from the Brewers in exchange for SS Gavin Lux, and SP Gavin Stone.
BRAVES ACQUIRE BIEBER
The Atlanta Braves have acquired pitcher Shane Bieber from the Guardians, in exchange for AJ Smith-Shawver, and IF Cal Conley.

TIGERS WIN 2 OF 3 IN TORONTO
The Tigers took game one, 4-1. Jack Flaherty (11-2) allowed one run in eight innings, to earn the win. Kyle Dutcher led off the game with his 34th home run of the season. Riley Greene had a pair of RBI.
The Blue Jays evened up the series with a 4-3 win over the Tigers. Matt Manning (11-3) took the loss, allowing four runs in six innings. Alek Manoah (5-5) picked up the win for the Blue Jays, allowing three runs in six innings.
The Tigers won game three 5-3, to take the series. Kyle Dutcher (35) and Jose Agua (20) homered. Agua drove in three runs. Casey Mize (12-3) allowed two runs over six innings, to earn the win.
TIGERS BRING BACK FAMILIAR FACE
Prior to Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, the Tigers announced that they have acquired former Tiger Justin Verlander from the Houston Astros, in exchange for prospect Wilmer Flores (6-9, 4.22 at Toledo), as well as a pair of infield prospects in 3B Max Anderson, and 2B Luke Gold.
In 20 starts with the Astros, Verlander was 8-5 with a 3.67 ERA. Verlander is set to start on Tuesday in Cleveland.

TIGERS SWEEP DODGERS
Jose Agua (19) homered in the bottom of the ninth, to walk off the Dodgers in game one, 3-2. Tyler Holton (4-2) picked up the win in relief. Javier Baez (20) also homered for the Tigers.
Tarik Skubal (19-0) allowed four runs in six and a third, as the Tigers beat the Dodgers 7-4. Jake Rogers (15) homered and drove in two. Colt Keith had a pair of RBI himself.
The Tigers completed the sweep with a 9-1 pounding of the Dodgers in game three. Spencer Torkelson had six RBI for the Tigers. Reese Olson (3-1) allowed no runs, and just one hit in seven innings, earning the win.
The Tigers have hit the All Star break. The Tigers will send four representatives to the Mid Summer's Classic. CF Kyle Dutcher, and LF Riley Greene were voted in as starters. Pitchers Tarik Skubal, and Alex Lange were selected by Manager Bruce Bochy. It is expected that Skubal will be the A.L. Starting pitcher.
