The wait is gonna be SOOOOO HARD as I live in Australia. So im shipping it from Gamestop and it will take 8 days longer!!!!. This is the 1st time ive purchased a baseball game and the show is the best baseball game ive ever seen Great vid and keep up the good work at SCEA
You guys seeing any difference in this build and the demo? I think it's pretty obvious.
Yes, i noticed it right a away when Pierre caught the foul ball and spun around real quick and threw to 3rd base. The thing that stands out to me the most is these clips are AWESOME without seeing all the little cut-scenes. I understand for time reasons its on quick-play, but without all the little things inbetween the plays we dont see how GREAT this game actually is. When we add in our custom music options... Nothing touches this game with a ten foot pole, Imo.

you and me are in the same boat buddy. Can't believe we will have to wait a week longer for the game! Can't wait, haven't seen a sport's game impress me this much prior to release in years!
I was gonna say what baa7 said (good thing I read through the comments before posting mine). Really, what's with the announcer not mentioning the run? Maybe he was just so confused since most major league teams would have brought the infield in in that situation anyway to stop that run.
Looks as good as last years PLUS the lighting. BUT i am still annoyed by the pitching animations it always looks like they don't follow through enough and just stop once they start bending their knees. i guess next year we'll see better animations thanks to the newer player models?
In the next video could we get at least half an inning from the outfield view for pitching?
Cheers.
Absolutely spectacular, and Jim's right - huge difference from what the demo shows. I wish it wouldn't have been the fast play b/c I wanted to see all of the animations.
But I'd love to see a vid from the pitcher's view for a full inning.

I LOVED 08 though 09 seems to be much the same

I do hope they keep it painless
LOL i know I know I'm usually chill about stuff and present it well, but once in awhile i make something out that is in total disregard to he disregard...

After reading Tomba's blog, I have to be cautious when agreeing with him because I think its ludicrous to say MLB2k is a better game at this point; however, I totally agree with his point here. Firstly, I am a huge Show fan, having bought the PS3 last year solely for this game, but although the game does look amazing with the new lighting, and not to mention some of the gameplay and franchise tweaks that are sure to make the game even better, I still find myself very disappointed with the pitching and hitting motions (they just do not look very natural), as well as the lack of individual personality from player to player, besides their faces. This is one area in my mind that MLB2k is far ahead of the Show. They're signature styles look much closer to their real-life counterparts than the Show (they still do not have the right equipment for their cover athelete for the second year in a row). Also, the mere fact that 2k allows you to edit nearly every detail of a player's equipment goes a long way towards making each player unique, without looking a little generic as they do in the Show. Finally, the MLB 2k's use of their new presentation camera angles go a long way towards making you feel as though you are watching a real live broadcast. I know its still early and I should wait for the game, but I am slightly disappointed that the Show has yet to keep pace with 2k in these areas. I'm still only buying the Show as it is the better game, but there is more to wanted in the areas of player personality and presentation.
Someone probably pointed it out by now, but did anyone catch the mass of duplicates in the crowd when Loney was coming up to bat? That was really bad and noticeable, but the rest of it was amazing - this game looks great graphically and the gameplay seems to have moved along since the demo as well. Can't wait.
