Someone probably pointed it out by now, but did anyone catch the mass of duplicates in the crowd when Loney was coming up to bat? That was really bad and noticeable, but the rest of it was amazing - this game looks great graphically and the gameplay seems to have moved along since the demo as well. Can't wait.
This is the first year I've given much attention to The Show (never had a PS2/PS3). I'm impressed with the smoothness of animations and obviously the gorgeous lighting. Also, the atmosphere is very well done.
I'm not too crazy about the player models. The players look almost uncomfortable at times. Also, when a batter takes a pitch, his head doesn't show much movement, never watching the ball's progress. I also have to say that I don't see the strikes being taken, and in fact, you could argue these batters are swinging at a lot of first pitch balls.
Obviously, the majority love this game, so it's doing things right. I'm just a little underwhelmed with the amount of hype it has received and what I've actually seen.
Quintuplets day, haha. They had the exact same motions at the exact same time and everything, it's pretty bad. It's hardly a game-killer though, just jumps out when you're looking at the crowd (or even when you're not looking at the crowd, in this instance).

Amazing video, Thanks Steve for posting it. I do have a question anybody can answer, does 09' have the longsleeves at night game glitch again? I noticed everybody were wearing them. March 3rd!!!!!!

If you played it, you would know what all the hype is about.
Unbelievable game, my friend. You should try it sometime.
Nice vid. The shadows are nice, and the scoreboard is finally updated. They even have the Legends Club in the wall. There even seemed to be a small hurricane blowing the Bay waters in the background.

Fairly sure that's because somebody is actually playing as the hitters, and he's a bit trigger happy. When pitching to AI, they take balls all the time (and take close strikes pretty often too). At least that's what I've seen in the demo.
People out West are fragile, the temp drops 5 degrees and they think the ice age is coming!
This is fact. I see them wearing leather jackets, and other heavy jackets on 65-70 degree nights in California. Hell, we dont wear jackets when it is 45-50 degrees on the East Coast.
Regarding the announce not calling the run scored.
I dunno. Watch the vid again. The transitions (see the pitcher fade out/then throw) are not the normal in game transitions and as soon as the announcer calls the ground out there is a transition quickly to behind the mound. So, I don't know if it's missing, or not or it got skipped.
We'll find out in a few days
I agree Jim.
The video is edited, and cut to fit most of the gameplay in, without making it too large with all the presentation values.
Those complaining about it, I thought it was painfully obvious.

That's SoCal. In the Bay, we are in shorts when there is any sun peeking. We don't see many 70 degree days out here. If we did all of our noses would bleed.
Great video. The lighting is spot on. The Bay looks fan-TASTIC. Also, Dodger shirts in the crowd = Also, Johnson's delivery looks good based on that Youtube video somebody provided; I'm not a stickler for pitching and batting animations though.
Gripes: The longsleeves. Ugh. That can't be in the MLB style guide, can it? It's not that cold in SF. I've been there myself! (Although not at AT&T Park)
