Love the gamespeed!

Pro-tak looks awesome... it really does make the game flow smoother.

Block shedding = improved! I am able to use my R-stick just like APF's reach tackles to manipulate the block and make the tackle.

The pass rush and pocket are both things I've never seen in Madden before. On a 3rd and 3 I tried to scramble for the 1st with Eli and the DE kept his contain very nicely.

The momentum isn't perfect, but it's there. Ideally this year we'll have to respect the laws of physics at least somewhat in terms of changing direction and speed loss.

The graphics are easily the best I've ever seen in a sports game personally. My gosh those players look and act lifelike.

As someone else stated, the celebration right after the score looks really sharp. last year's dead time in selecting the area of the endzone to celebrate in kind of killed the moment.

I saw new tackle animations immediately. I personally have no beef with canned animations, just need huge variety.

The increase in difficulty on the hitstick is a very welcome addition.

Honestly it feels like EA has catered to my concerns very well. Maybe they actually did read what I wrote. It feels that way because the game feels very much like I described wanting it. Running animations never even crossed my mind. I was too busy admiring the improved collision detection! EA made a big step forward on a really strong principle = player interactions! I was begging for 2 things = player interactions and momentum. I got them both. Seeing those LB's shed blocks got me SO jacked up.

Coming from a guy whose favorite game is APF= Madden football is BACK in 2009!

Xbox Live has Dallas vs NY - 1 min quarters demo. PSN it comes out on July 30th.

I can't stand folks here who throw the demo on for the first time and switch the difficulty on to All-Madden, and then start complaining about how bad it is after 2 games and they can't do anything.

Play on a lower difficulty, you're not that good people.

demo was good, I thought some of the animations were a little to repetitive, but it's only a demo. no commentary though. no espn integration yet. hopefully next year.

Amen brother.. Rmoody and clan (the naysayers in here) really need to get off the stupid nitpicking bandwagon though...im glad LBrulz set Mr.Moody straight though lol not that it was his goal to do that..he just KNOWS football much better then Rmoody..also..because when i viewd the video..it left me scratching my head..in what he (moody) was crying about, im referring to the run game outside...By the way, i've had a few nice big runs on the outside with the cardinals and Giants...more with the Giants but i think the Giants have a better Oline..something tells me the quality and talent of the oline has a HUGE impact in the run game which is how it should be...

Im starting to clearly see that Rmoody is just an Apex wannabe that just hates madden to hate it...for what ever reason why..I swear to god i could go take the best past madden to date, NFL2k5 or APF and have a field day on them if i were purposely hunting for glitches,bad AI logic and flaws..its not hard to find flaws in videogames..because they are just that..videogames..why cant they grasp this? It boggles my mind...to the 10th degree!!

Apex ..while i dont agree with alot of his recent videos..i think he's a cool kat ...just because he keeps it real, alot of my homeboys are like him..Rmoody comes off as a wannabe that just hates madden and will find anything possible to make it look bad...lol, i had enough of him, im not looking at his vidz no more..it was my own damn fault for peeking at his M10 vid impressions lol.

I just want to make myself clear..i dont have a problem with people nitpicking but make sure you have some legitiment gripes first..because when you start picking at a videogame for perfection..its all becomes moot and meaningless. I had a HUGE problem with the presentation in madden for years and years in here..i would b1tch about it all the time..but i knew inside this sort of thing would make a night and day difference if the dev's just focused on presentation..and it has, the demo is proof of that..b1tching about perfect AI Logic is just silly..videogames will NEVER be able to match human logic..yeah some games may have did it a bit better but its all a wash honestly..all that really matters is that we have a fun game of pigskin imho ..and M10 has delivered!

There are many reasons why I enjoy coach-mode, but the main reason is to make the 'awareness' rating matter. If you're controlling the QB what difference does it make if his awareness is 56 or 96? You're making all of the decisions so it lessens the importance of the attribute that is supposed to be the most important rating; the same can be said for other positions as well. Playing in coach mode emphasizes strategy and forces you to acquire players with high football IQ's (since you won't be able to control their actions).

Also, playing in coach-mode eliminates half of the gameplay issues that people complain about on these forums because the CPU does not take advantage of itself; I don't even know what a "rocket-catch" looks like .

first off the graphics are sexy as ish and the gameplay is nice i kinda like it on slow... maybe a lil faster idk and the animations are on point ie slipping, tackles, catches etc etc... I CAN FINALLY SACK THE DAMN QB too!!!! 09 had the worst suction blocking.. cut scenes are on point everything is on point and im sayin this as a die hard nfl2k5 fan im impressed and its only the damn demo. no complaining here. seriously all of you should stop nit picking...throw in that piece of garbage we got last year and compare it to just this demo IT DOESNT COME CLOSE haha thats all i gotta say oh and also the my skill level finaly works decently try it out

but why not just play head coach then? A game designed with way more features for people that like playing that way.

Head coach is done.

And I'm pretty sure it was what he played last year.

People who have to have skills on the stick and understand offensive and defensive scemes. Not a game that does everthing for you, but a game that requires you to think to be good. Like a video game of football chess, you know. With Madden you have to have quick reaction to a hole in the lane to be able to run through it and recognize when a block is breaking down. Or even to understand how to break tackles or which side a d-linemen is being blocked from, so if he's being blocked outside you run inside if he's being pintched toward the middle you run outside and so-on and so-forth. YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND HOW TO RUN ON AN OUT SIDE PITCH!

Seriously dude, you have to understand how to let your blocks develope and then turn it up field, not try to out run the D east and west or to the sideline hopeing to break a long run.....football is a north and south game. You can't hold on to the the turbo button in order to bust a long run! See as Madden fans or a gamer with great user skills we know that you dont hit turbo until you absolutely need to or once your out in the open field on a break away. Thats how Madden's run game works....

Here is a quick break down for you scrubs or people who been hating on the game...You see, in order to manuver through the line of scrimage you have to have the ability to juke, spin, truck, stiff-arm or hesitate to break tackes. So when your running with a full head of steam or with turbo held down before you get through the line of scrimage or as soon as the ball is snapped your momentom will force a bad play. So it triggers the defenders to speed up and your o-line cant hold their blocks cause your not giving them enough time to set up their blocks or for them to even form a running lane cause you got your finger on the turbo button trying to break tackles or recognize running lanes. The game just doesnt work like that. Thats really why they slowed it down this year. You have to know how to recognize a blitz and then check down...you know i'm saying. Or how to put the right amount of touch on the ball. You have to have good user control. Period. I wrote this ealier particularly for RMoody.

btw, i have to say that the armpit hair is starting to disturb me. i know "if it's in the game." but still. wtf? lol.
Thats what it is dude...the running animations..mostly the jukes are NICE now..i couldnt pinpoint it really but now that you made me think about it some more..the juke animations are LOADS better making running alot of fun..but i also think the speed has made running alot better as well.

One thing i dont think is useful is putting in smashing of the button during fumbles, something tells me this will be removed next year ..i would have much rather seen some button pressing for speed boost or when your RB is engaged with defenders to break out of the tackle..pressing the button then would be great. Im not trying to make Madden into 2k5..but i would LOVE a toggle option in the options menu to allow us to tap the button for speed boost..for some reason to me it just makes running the rock all that much more fun..like seeing a hole open up, you run towards it and begin pressing the button to speed/zip thru the hole would be "fun".. as it was in NFL2k5. This is something i hope Ian and crew look into for M11...but im content with the running game this year..its FUN and thats all that matters.

Passing is ALSO LOADS BETTER...no more superman passes with superhuman strength..its slowed down a bit, Also the accuracy of QB passing is just about perfect now...i love tossing the rock and completing passes but i also love tossing the rock only to see it fade, wobble and float too far over my WR's head ..sweetness!!

Has anyone noticed that many times your WR catches the ball and it just falls out of his hands for no apparent reason?

Here are a few things I like about Madden 10...

* Graphics
* Presentation
* Pregame
* Refs

Here are a few things I don't like...

* Accelerated clock is AWFUL!! Don't even have enough time to send somebody in motion before the clock runs out.
* WR's dropping passes after they catch it for no apparent reason.
* Pin Ball action with even the smallest players just bouncing off of defenders.
* Many times trying to do a Laser pass and it lobs the ball up instead of throwing it on a rope.

Game is good but the Accelerated clock can become a Game Breaker IMO, Especially if it is online in lobbies.

# 1018 MikeGiani @ 07/24/09 02:44 AM
CPU All-Madden gives solid pressure, but I can't get solid pressure on All-Pro and on All-Madden it's worse.

Anyone know the list of sliders?

Is pass rush one of them?

# 1019 MAHAM @ 07/24/09 02:49 AM
Wow, EA has done it again with their false advertising. The real world has a definition for what 5 minutes is, apparantly EA feels they can advertise a 5 minute demo in commmercials, failing to state its accelerated clock.

My take on the game.

Needs to be improved more.

Looks like all the fools who complained about man defense got their way, its more lock, but unrealistic.

Only thing I didnt like before was defenders had eyes in the back of their head, and they still do. Thanks for the false advertisement again EA.

I have aerial vison on madden, unlike QB's in the NFL. If a QB throws an out pass against man defense on the cut and leads him perfect, its almost an impossible play to stop in real life. Man should get tore up, despite what the madden community thinks.

Now Man has morphed into something its not. I throw on the cuts the recievers make, but on this madden against man defense, the defenders know the route before its even ran. *note* I play on allmadden.
