It's boring because you can't cut back. I thought their approach this year was complete control with the left stick...you can't stutter step, you can't make a quick cut, the running game in open field seems completely off.
you cut back and make your moves using the r-stick. You can lean, cut, juke, spin, etc...using the right analog stick.
played my first overtime game. Beat the Colts 13-10. Scored 10 pts in the 4th quarter to tie the game and then won the toss in OT, and kicked a field goal on the opening drive and left a minute on the clock. The Colts drove down but I was able to get to Manning with around 30 seconds to go on a key 3rd down from my 40 yard line. After that, they had to try and heave one deep and get out of bounds, but Revis knocked the pass away from Gonzalez.
What's so bad about the new kicking meter? I always liked the buttoned version from the XBOX/PS2 days. It may not be the best option for everyone, but I don't see why anyone would hate it? Is it difficult for you, or too easy?
I hope they slow it down because it seems to move to fast for me at least
NCAA blows this game out of the water and its a shame. I wanted to buy both so i can get my fix of both college and the NFL but this demo is just really boring.
Gameflow -is cool but nothing more..
Gamespeed- is really slow and its annoying. Yes the gameplay needed to be slowed down but not this much its ridiculous. I dont feel like im playing with NFL players in a game this slow
Player Models- NCAA player models are leaps and bounds ahead of madden.. the player models look last gen but in HD..
Locomotion- NCAA feels much mure fluid it can be due to game speed but idk
Animations- NCAA>... Gang tackles, broken tackles, catch animation. You name it they all look better in NCAA
Agree completely. What does Ian and gang think they are doing? Jeez...

I like the new OT rules.
interesting.
someone else had a game go into OT..kicked a FG..game over...no new OT rules in effect in his game.
thats what I was expecting to happen, that I would be declared the winner after my field goal, even moreso with Gus saying that I had indeed won. But I was taken back to the play call menu where I kicked off and the Colts had their chance.
Pretty entertaining. Love shutting down Peyton Manning.
Couple more impressions after playing some more games:
1. Why does the air horn sound after kickoffs? That got annoying really quick.
2. The game is unbalanced towards offense. In about 23 plays my last game, I scored 24 points with the Jets. I really hope the sliders can even that out a bit. That would be a 48-56 point game if we had a full game of 50+ plays.
After a few demo games, I've decided to skip on Madden for the first time since I can remember. The lack of multiple hit tackles, the boring presentation, and the eyesore of players warping all over the place just sucks the life out of the experience for me. I feel like the chess match of Madden is a thing of the past.
Passes are still always on the money, and the game compensates by having DBs drop INT's. Problems that have plagued the game for the entire life of the franchise on next gen still exist. This game doesn't feel like they put in a full cycle of work in.
The last 2 sports games I really got into were MLB The Show and PES, and Madden just doesn't meet that level of quality, unpredictability, and immersion.
Pros-
Lighting
Some new animations
Graphics slightly better
Ball physics
Skip past chain gang cut screen
Cons-
Crowd and sidelines still look bad
New announcer is annoying
On-field playcalling more complicated
Still not sure if I'm going to buy Madden this year. It just feels like Madden 10. NCAA players look and move better. Madden player models also look smaller.
So what happened to the sound in this game? The crowd becomes real quiet until something happens. I was thinking about buying this game (haven't had a Madden game for a few years now), but with the lack of ambience in the game, it might be a deal breaker.

audio was cut in order to keep the size of the download down.
anyone else been experimenting with different penalty sliders? I've been doing this to get a gauge on how the penalties are called and its not much different than last year, although I've seen about a half dozen or so pass interference calls.
I thought the game play and graphics were great.. but all this learn how to play football crap gets in the way, and the strategy pad or watever its called takes to much time. by the time i want my D line shifted to the strong side the balls already been snapped. I got ncaa this year and i dont even think its all that great. hopefully next years games will be much improved.
I've played some more and it is alright... My biggest gripes are that I accidentally push my Secondary back because you have to bring up the strategy pad before you can even use it... It gets my team beat alot in the game...
It's gameplay is a little better, I put it on normal speed and took auto everything off...
The only other gripe is the fact that nothing has been added to Dynasty mode... I still prob gonna break and buy it but, I can already tell its prob gonna be played a couple months and then forgotten
