NBA 2K15 News Post

NBA 2K15 patch #3 has been submitted to Microsoft and Sony and should be released within the next 10 to 14 days for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Patch notes will not be released until then, but @LD2K tweeted a few nuggets.

Quote:
Patch #3 for #NBA2K15 is very big. Addressing a ton: including 2K cam "frame rate" issue, showing score while waiting & timeout exploit.

As previously stated, the Patch #3 also brings new hairstyles to #NBA2K15 and adds a ton of gameplay tweaks including zig-zag+btb nerfs.

The gameplay team has been looking at all your feedback and patch #3 plays phenomenal. Lots of cheddar cutting too.

Patch #3 is also bringing some of the latest updates to face scanning.

He also notes frame rate issues at the Jordan Rec Center have been addressed, you will see improvements on defense, and for those of you with Online Leagues, all feedback is in the hands on the dev team. So it would appear as though this particular patch will not fix any issues in that mode.

UPDATE: (Response from LD2K) To sum it up, 6 pages worth of bullet point patch notes.

No one has confirmed this.

Lol yea that statement needs to be more specific. Maybe say "it's so long-animation based"

Most games the CPU takes around 20 3's and some times more. I don't see the CPU taking 3's to be a problem at all.
Here's the problem: I play online with 5 minute quarters and I manage to get a good amount of fouls per game. In fact sometimes it can be annoying.

I think the problem is foul animations are triggered with no calls. So someone can jump on my back and still not get called. I guess it's realistic to get a few bad no calls though.

But in 5 minute quarters everything runs great in my opinion. If I saw any more fouls in online games they would be soooo dull, boring, and unrealistic, because there are already plenty of fouls for 5 minute games.

I just want every NBA players hair and facial hair style to be selectable options within CAP. This seems long overdue. Hopefully the patch will give us a variety of better options.

I don't believe this has ever been the case with any 2k NBA patch.

There's always a chance that this patch is different, however. But I wouldn't use that Jump to Conclusions mat just yet.

Yep, 2K has always had patches that work with existing saves.

Still it would be nice to have it confirmed (LD2K??)

Well, in previous 2k patches that deals with gameplay it transfer to existing save files except for cosmetic stuff. So you probably don't have to start over.

I just got kicked from 2K and was forced to update. Could it be the patch?

EDIT: False alarm. It's not.

Rotation logic still isn't anywhere near what you guys have been saying it would be for a long time now. Getting pretty sick of all starters playing over 32 minutes and rotation minutes being completely disregarded...

That isnt rotation logic. Its game specific and controlled by the number of stoppages in play. For example in MyLeague, I have Otto Porter coming off the bench and getting 20 minutes a game. In games where there are a lot of fouls or I or the CPU call a few timeouts...Otto plays 19-21 minutes a game. In games where there arent enough TOs and fouls, he plays less because there arent opportunities for him to come in.

The increased number of fouls in the patch should help this.

you know, you saying that made me realize thats exactly the problem i see. When i have a game with a lot of fouls, the rotations aren't platoon swaps and closer to what they are supposed to be. At least for the CPU, i always manual sub.

not only that. you'll see an occasional 3 from a center. ( a center who never shoots 3s) if you have it cranked to high.

Yep thats why I institute TV timeouts in my game. At the 4:30 minute mark of the first, 5 minute of the 2nd and 5 minute of the third I call timeouts just so the platoon swaps dont happen and players get their accurate minutes.
