MLB The Show 17 Live Twitch Stream and Developer Blog Schedule Revealed

The MLB The Show 17 team revealed their Twitch Livestream schedule this year which also revealed a lot of new features coming to this year's game.

The live streams will start on Twitch on February 7th and will run weekly through March 23rd. In total, 11 live streams are scheduled with one yet to be finalized with regards to date.

In the descriptors for each live stream are some new details of features coming to MLB The Show 17.
  • Gameplay: New Ball Physics, Humanity AI, Cat and Mouse Gameplay, All New Catch and Throw Engine (+More!)
  • Diamond Dynasty Gets Dynamic: Events, Seasons, Programs, Missions 2.0, New Legends & Flashbacks. More!
  • The Little Things: New Uniform Sets, Universal Profile Overhaul, New Brands. More!
  • Presentation and Commentary: Showtrack, New Commentary?
  • Franchise Mode: Launch Pad, Player Quirks, Franchise Front Office.
  • Road to the Show and Create-A-Player: Player Model Revamps, Pave Your Path, Create-A-Player Revamp, PYP.
  • Graphics: Lighting, Grass Tech, New Head Rig, Classic Stadiums.

MLB The Show 17 Releases on March 28.

The fact that this entire thread is basically just people analyzing the * symbol, is one of the many reasons why I love O.S.

Obviously after the "final build" they continue to work on the game which is why there are updates.
No even at that date they will still be fixing bugs and stuff. Plus very good chance the build we see in that stream on February 9th will be several weeks old with quite possibly a lot of the new stuff still missing.

That's my guess anyway

Literally to the last minute. Last year they were making changes in live streams the day of or night before they were going GOLD.

MLB Central with Shehadi, DeRo, and Matty V during the season is a great morning show. Imagine something like that being implemented into MLB 17.

No, not in the OpSports app. It did work in Tapatalk though, oddly enough.

Nah, Buck Martinez would not be a good addition. He's super annoying. Maybe just put him in the Canadian version.

The list looks great and I'm excited about the new stuff but, I'm a little worried about how CAP improvements will affect carry-over player models. Those of us working on the OSFM may have more face work to do than we thought we would.

What if it's NOT MLB network? What if it's Fox Sports with the logo for each area. For example, the Rangers home games would display FSSW (Fox Sports Southwest). Just a thought

That's a pretty cool idea. My team is on Fox Sports so it would be like watching a real game.

Maybe on Saturday games in franchise (or if you play DD on Saturday), they could have a more national-looking overlay. Or just some way to differentiate it. Matt could mention it's baseball night in America or something.

Reminds me of the old days on this forum. Back when sliders, rosters, and everything in between were in one spot. I've lurked a looooooong time here, and The Show community is the best group around...

I've always felt out of the major 3 sports (NFL/NBA/MLB) that this forum was the most civil.

The team did a good job of sprinkling in some non-DD/Retro news on days where those are the highlights. It will definitely have me tuning in for almost every news drop.

Presentation/physics/franchise/player quirks all have me intrigued to see what they've improved.

Really holding out hope that the MLB Draft has been totally revamped and the player pool is not random.
