I like the "Leak Out" adjustment, don't get me wrong. Just want to make sure it's balanced someway.
I'm sure 2K has thought of this....besides there's always a downside to leaking. Offensive rebounds will lead to wide open shots. :-D

This sounds like a dream come true to the sim-heads! I'm especially excited about the inbound plays for some reason. Situational inbounding needed major attention and I'm glad they addressed it. I'm "so anxious" like Ginuwine!!!

praying to god that constant pressure affects fatigue for both teams

Is it just me or does the floor spacing look great in those pics?

2k already had versions of alot of these settings guys....these settings have never turned your team superhuman...

if the T-Wolves turn up constant defensive pressure, it doesnt mean theyll become the Celtics. Even WITH the Celtics...turning up d pressure left you open to cuts....theres an advantage/disadvantage to everything like it has always been im guessing..

I feel the same way but I hope if it is, it's adjustable. I want players to look like they've been playing 12 min. quarters even if they're only 5 min. Just some extended realism I guess. I dislike seeing guys full of energy closing out the game.

but 2k has been making it progressively harder to "cheese" IMO...Think about 2k8-10

Ive never felt more empowered to stop your LeBron types than I have in 2k11....post patch anyway...

I just KNEW the Heat would be ridiculously hard to stop in 2k11 but im honestly like 25+ and 5 against them....alot of those victorys with the Hornets.

if 2k12 is even a small step up well be fine.
I don't think I've ever lost to the Heat when using the Bucks. Salmons locks DWade down for me and Mbah A Moute does work on LeBron too.

My last game online was with the Nets against the Heat and after losing for the first 3 quarters, I held LeBron and Wade to 5 points in the 4th combined and scored 18 with Deron Williams to win by 14 (the kid literally tried to score with Wade or LeBron every possession).

Also I hope 2k implements consequences for the constant pressure defense strategy such as faster fatigue. This is another thing that I foresee the majority of users online employing.

Other than that, playcalling sounds awesome. However, I wished you could choose quick plays where u decide which players post up.
The persistent offense and constant pressure has me somewhat worried about online. I can see someone setting all of their plays to cutters but if the defensive tools that are available make it possible to contain or stop, then it shouldn't be an issue. But something about constant pressure just screams FIFA pressure abuse to me. Hopefully the fatigue will counter someone calling for help every 2 seconds to double.

Are we going to have playcalling options in the demo this year?

This thread is about the Playcall system insight mate. I believe there are threads about rookies on the forum as well.

Yeah man! I love playing them with the Bulls...its slaughter...

The hardest Heat players to beat are the ones who use them correctly is whats funny...

I think it would be cool if you set your defense to defend aggressively that your guys tired more quickly. Kinda making it a risk reward type thing.

# 95 guesswhozbak17 @ 09/02/11 03:19 PM
I understand your point. I'm not sure you fully grasped mine though. Here's an example... Offense: Leak Out - Defense: Lock down paint

When I am matched up AGAINST that strategy, I should have more open shots than contested. When I miss an open shot (assuming that his players already are in the lanes for outlet passes to break out), how do I counter "Leak Out."

I reanalyzed the screen shot and it think Collapse and Rebound is the only counter to "Leak Out" even though it's an offensive strategy.

The point I'm trying to make it that "Leak Out" is an offensive reward and a defensive risk. None of the other staategies affect BOTH offense and defense at once...but we will see come October

Now that was an insight... I am very excited about this game, even more excited to learn what the training camp is

Yes I know what you mean. Collapse and rebound affects defense and offense as well. And I look more at the leak out as a counter to collapse and rebound. And indeed we will see.

I think we're on the same page, just saying it differently. I think that means it will be balanced.

Actually you are correct. The users who try to dunk all game with wade and lebron are usually pretty easy to beat because they do the something all game long. The ones who use bibby and miller at the 3 and bosh knocking mid range js down can be a handful. To be honest I've only played one or two of those types.

As long as there are counters and risk/rewards everything should be fine. I think I remember reading somewhere that you could bump guys on the pic n roll to limit abuse of the cutters.
